Hi, I'm using AVG and this anti-virus can found many virus, but it can't handle with worms, so if that virus is not a worm type AVG should handle that virus, and you should use a spyware program because almost all anti-virus programs can't find them.

i am using avast free edition and i have a cyber cafe so i get more different types of viruses than normal people see in there life. but for spyware protection i use IOBOT security. its super spyware blaster. and most importantly it gives me best protection and its free. also if want a bullet proof security then use deep freeze.

hell0 there and welcome to the best social network available on internet that actaully not only gives you fun, but also pays you just for having fun with it and us- the myLot users :) well, and now lets go back to your question- WHAT protection do i use for protecting my pc/laptop!? well, i really prefer not to say that, just because you know how many hackers there are not only here on myLot but also all over the internet space, so I have some fear, that If I share this with you, someone can abuse with it and can make something against me, and there is actually not a perfect antivirussoftware. So that's why I am going to tell you, which one is the best according to me, but I actaully don't use it, because it is too "heavy" for my laptop. according to many companies, which are actually not producers of antivirus software, the best antivirus software is McAfee enterprise and many say that it detects almost 93-94% of all known viruses. But as you probably know only the antivirus software is not enough to protect you privacy and data that you have on your HDD. so that's why you need some anti-spyware software, which actaully detects some harmful male/adware, which can cause you a lot of trouble and lost of many of your files that you have on your computer. the best anti-spyware sftware is doctor spyware protection vers. 6.08, which was released a month ago. hope i was helpful to yhou!

I am using Norton Anti Virus and so far it is doing an excellent job. It always detects a virus and will not allow me to open the page that has a virus and what I like about it is once my computer is idle it automatically check my computer files and it also provides a comprehensive result after. I love it and I highly recommend it.

I noticed that nod 32 detects only very harmful viruses. The smaller ones it just skips.

I use Quick Heal Total Security for my pc protection, it is really user friendly antivirus software. It comes with antispyware, phishing protection, firewall, etc... I think you must use the program called TuneUp utilities to speed up your computer.

In my opinion, I think it depends on the experience. I have experience a lot of anti virus out there but I really like avast, because it is user- friendly, it detects virus automatically and immediately, In scanning it really good because it really scan all files. And it depends also in the user if your not cautious about the sites that your surfing. If your PC is slow, I prefer you to download tune up programs and ccleaner to clean up the trackers/cookies to speed up ur pc. Hope it helps.

I am using the same antivirus software and so far, I have never had any bad experiences with this software. In fact, this software have saved my laptop on a number of occasions. A friend of mine actually told me about it after my laptop was infected with a virus that I could not get rid off. He told me about Avira and it was a lifesaver. I could clear my laptop of the viruses that infected it and I recovered my files safely since at the time, I was doing my assignments which was all in my laptop.
