Currently, my favorite crafts are soapmaking and sewing. I love making soap because it's better for my family, useful, and it's fun. Sewing is fun because I take fabric and turn it into fun, functional works of art.
What about you? What crafts do you do and why?

If you're looking for places to sell your cards online, Etsy.com and ArtFire.com are two great handmade venues. I sell soap and some of my other crafts on both. Etsy does better overall for me, but ArtFire is free unless you get a pro account.

I enjoy knitting, embroidery and needlepoint. I would love to do some of those intricate cross stitch pictures, but my eyes won't focus on them after about two minutes. Instead, I stick to small cross stitch ornaments and things like that. Knitting is the one I do the most, though.

I used to cross stitch. I would like to pick it up again, but I think I already have plenty of crafts for now!

I have tried to learn to knit and unfortuately I got so confused and gave up. I am still love to do ceramics and paint. I am thinking about making candles and maybe soap. I am also looking into web sites where I can sell some of my items.

I have been thinking about getting into soap making, but I am not sure what the cost would be. Money has been so tight lately that I am almost afraid to start any craft projects in fear that money may run out before I get a chance to finish. I have never learned how to sew or knit.
I had at one time done mosaic art by using a wooden jewelry box. I have also been looking into painting little bird houses and making them into wind chimes.

I use to do sewing years ago, but now I don't have a sewing machine so I don't do that anymore. But I still knit, and I crochet every now and then. I use to do ceramics, but then when I got sick last year it got to be way to much for me so I got rid of my ceramic business. So now, I am really hurting for making money and paying the bills.

I love to knit and crochet, also jigsaw puzzles and then put them into a frame. I wish that I could sew, but I can't. I am working on a couple of baby quilts and I'm not doing very well. I don't have a sewing machine and therefore I am doing all my hand. By the time my grand-babies are grown maybe I will have this project done. Have a wonderful day

I am still learning to knit and crochet. I have the basics down, but I am very slow. I do think it's fun to make neat things essentially out of string.

I've done many different crafts in my lifetime: beading, painting, drawing, sculpting out of clay, etc. The one I've stuck with most is cross-stitch. I only learned how to do it a few years ago but I don't think I'll stop anytime soon! Right now I'm working on an eagle for my mom. I'm hoping to have done by November in time for her birthday, Christmas at the latest.

I make cards/stamp and scrapbook. I love both of them...the cards especially as you take just a piece of paper and turn it into something usable! And I sell a ton of them! I love trying almost any craft though...I think it's a wonderful usable passtime!

I make sea glass jewelry. I stopped making glass bead jewelry because so many people already were, and I love looking for and finding sea glass on the beach, so it was just a natural progression for my jewelry making.
I also enjoy knitting from time to time, but sadly, I don't have as much time as I'd like to knit. I make candles with my sons, and would love to make soaps (we haven't used commercial soap in years, instead we buy from handmade vendors)but again, finding the time is so very hard these days.

Welcome to mylot, nice to know you can make soap at home for family use, is it for cleaning clothes only or for bath too? My daughter in law tried this we got caustic soda and coconut oil for this, but calculation showed it was costly than the readymade in the mall..
Thanks.
God bless you. Have a nice day.
Cheers.

I make accessories such as bracelets and necklaces. It's just a hobby which turned into a business.
