Here in the Philippines our staple food is rice. I specially love our traditional breakfast meals, which is fried rice, fried egg and salt-dried fish together with tomatoes. :) What i like best is fried rice best because you can add anything with fried rice. season it with a little salt, you can put carrot bits, scrambled egg bits, cabbage bits, chorizo bits, ham bits, pretty much anything you like.

this sounds great but a bit strange as that you eat rice even for breakfast :)

Here in the UK there is a joke that the national dish is curry because of the amounts of Indian restaurants we have and how much the people love it!! But our real traditional foods are: Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, Fish and Chips, Cottage Pie, Lancashire Hot Pot, Full English Breakfast, Stew and Dumplings, Sausage and Mash, Toad in the Hole, to name a few!!
