Your Favorite Music genre?

Hi, Im interested in gathering everyones favorite music genre.. cause well I love music, and I play guitar. so please tell me your favorite genre and go into a bit of detail why =] I'll start off with... well, DeathMetal is my favorite genre mainly because I love the intense music and hardcore drum beats. It just gets me so pumped up. its great to listen to when your lifting weights. also its like some of the hardest music to play, so as an aspiring guitarist it gives me something to work on. and its fun to play!
however my music interests doesnt stop at deathmetal Ima fan of almost every genre you can think of =]

I love metal as well and gotta know who your favorite group is at the moment. Personally I have to say almost all the 90's music and don't have a specific genre but chances are if it happened in the 90's even if it's crap part of me will love it. I guess mostly I loved the garage band/grunge scene, it would be on the top of my list. Metal is propably now the top but not yet all time fave. I'm a little more into like nu-metal and the softer side of metal it is my husband who goes for the harder stuff.

sweet! a metal fan, I gotta go with your husband on this one for the hardcore stuff. my all time fav metal band (which is a new-age metal band) is all shall perish. brilliant stuff. and very hardcore just the way I like it :D
nu-metal is great too, linkin park is considered nu-metal so I guess I like that too :D

oh, ouch that hurts "I thought you were cool untill..." :P but all is well, unfortuntly I dont mean to rain on your parade or anything but LP is considered nu-metal not because of growls or anything I dont think they do that. but because, (and this is taken from the definition of the wiki on nu-metal so you can argue the fact weather it is or isn't with them :P) nu metal refers to music that blends heavy metal styles with other styles. but yeah, Im also a musician its more of a hobby then a job, so I tend to respect all generes or bands as long as they do their music well. and dont worry about going on and on, when it comes to music I can do the same(obviously) I think you should get a pic of that mural and upload it, Id love to see it :D
