I have not thought about this question in many years. I think all kids like the idea of Peter being able to fly and for a while even his never growing up. When I was a kid a read a book "The Crane Maiden" that had been translated into English. It was a very good story, though not technically a fairytale, about a girl who helps a elderly couple but she has a secret.

If I tell the secret it gives away the story. Try and find the book at a library.

I think I like Beauty and the Beast the best. Its a good story line that teaches the "Dont Judge A Book By Its Cover" phrase very very well. Its so sweet and magical. Its always been a favorite, but it has a wonderful message that more people need to hear.

i love fairy tales even up to now that im quite older as i thought fairy tales is good for kids only anyway, i love the story of cenderela and i already watched all of them. Im still hoping to find one true love that will give me good life and since im still single i guess i will not going to loss my hope with it. So hard to find someone whose willing to fight for their love and willing to do or risk everything for them.

THE LITTLE PRINCE!... It is not really a fairytale for kids but it's more for adults. It talks about how people only concern themselves with just matters of consequences. It talks about children and grown-ups. I learned so much things in that book.
Here's my favorite quotation: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye." =)
