it is so embarrassing. I don't know how anyone of you would have reacted to this situation.
i take ADEQUATE care to type the names of friends and to those I respond. Particularly, if I am dealing with sensitive names, where a simple typo leads to dirty meanings.
My name, username of course being Consultant and, trainer .. = [u] consultrainer [/b]. And, when a friend, may be out of eagerness to send me an invite, called me a $LUT..
and, I now am a $LUT in his/her view:
con $LUTrainer.
how should I react? .. I presume, in most of social regions, this word is a negative meaning word.
Please react...

I am surprised that something so small is causing you such grief and I'm sure that trying to find the positives would have a more worthwhile result (but who am I to train a trainer? ).
Here there is a saying that goes along the lines of: 'it doesn't matter what they say just as long as they say it' meaning that it better to be called something bad rather than to be called nothing at all - at least they noticed you
Remember too that everyone has a role toplay during their life nad maybe that one is yours?
p.s. this is meant to make you laugh and not to make you fly off the handle!

First you post, then you get our advice and thoughts on the matter and then you want the post deleted?? That's not fair!
Hey I guess that your wife is even more frustrated if her hubby has a broken leg. She has my full support! Poor, poor woman

DIANA... she owns and controls all my atm/credit cards, and all the jewelry, gold, cash .. and also co-owns the flat that I earned.
how is that?
regarding the deletion,.. i made a fool of myself, by SHOUTING from the top of the house,... else.. none would have known.
I am behaving as if I am .. oh no. I will get another snub.

now, i seriously don't know whether to laugh or cry for you...
sometimes, you've just got to shrug it off. just like my real name...if i had a penny for every time someone mis-spelled it, and a dollar for every time i got offended, i'd have about 4cents..ok, bad example
but really, you've got to try and laugh things off once in a while. you'd be surprised by how easy it is to see humor in even the most messed-up situations. you'll even be able to make yourself feel better after a bit. and by making yourself comfortable in shrugging off things that would otherwise infuriate you, you can create a better 'defensive' shield for yourself. then no one can get under your skin and nothing could faze you. well, it works for some people, it may work for you too. if it doesn't work, just post it here. i'll promise to reply
*i hope i make sense tonight...i seldom do, but i hope i do now, if not i'm just doodoo..

wonderful dear mario ....
you made a lot more than mere sense. I have seen your comment in my mail box, but, by then, I was almost shutting down the computer. And, hence did not come over to say my BIG THANKYOU , but, you made not just my night, but, .. it is also a VERY good morning for me.
shrugged off the so called typographical error.
I know, the next time someone wants to call me, or for that matter anyone, by their username, they would sure check the spelling.
Love you all!

is it english?
you tried to be too formal here .. mario. Is it because you are using your new laptop? as you are typing into your lap.. you seem to be a bit getting involved, and have to keep rephrasing.?
Hey, just asking ...

you are more than welcome consultrainer...wait, let me check. yup, i got the spelling correct. i'm so proud of myself
hehe...i too am a consultant for a few client companies of mine. while at the same time i also do some 'hands-on' work of my own. as i'm always so darn serious clients, biz partners and my own staff during work time, i've learned to really let loose at the end of the day. why? so that stress doesn't even have a chance to build up in me. in letting loose i've seen the beautiful side of life that a lot of people actually miss out on. and now that i'm used to being loose..(okay, that didn't sound right...let me try again, rephrase---). now that i'm used to not being stressed, i find it easy to keep this frame of mind. hence, i shrug off any negativity that comes my way, i can ignore when people are insulting me, and usually i can find humor where others may not.
to me, a typo is a typo. if the typo wasn't a typo, i don't care. if the typo was an honest mistake, i don't mind. no matter what, i'll just laugh anyway..

thanks for your love and for clearing off the insult, with your sweet anger!
I am glad to have made wonderful friends here, who share, care and clear off the stress.
What if you were all my friends, in the real world too, since the past 12 years....
I might have already made to the NOBEL list of awardees, for medicine!!
thanks a million nixxi76

hi consultrainer I also try to do that too and if I miss a goof I respond with a comment explaining what I really meant to say. But in this case with your username I never make those errors as user names are sensitive concerns. this person if he or she saw the error should have alerted you at once and explained and tried to apologize and remedy this. that is just awful,I just do not know what to tell you as we all should be extra extra careful in typing user names.yes most places that has an unpleasant meaning so the person making the error should have come forward and explained him or herself. I am so sorry this happened to you. did you get any explanation or better an apology,Yes indeed it is very embarrassing but we all know that is not your user name.shame on him or her.

If a mere change of alphabet causes this much of annoying heartburn? ....
Thanks for your support and love.
i AM a sort of quick tempered, and flared up through this topic, when I saw the goof-up in my email.
But, when I saw your TWO sweet supporting responses, I cooled down.
I presume, that is what FRIENDS are for. Thanks for the love Friend.
THIS eeeeeek thing of course is going to linger, as long as I use the username.
It is also put this on my name plate in the real world. as a designation.
CONSULTANT ...

Heh, heh. I think you're probably overreacting a little bit. I'm sure it was just a little typo, and that no further thought or deeper meaning should be inferred. I'm sure that your friend, in fact, does not think you to be that word. If you're really concerned, you can ask your friend, but really, I have no doubt that it was just a simple mistake that meant nothing. Not to worry. No need to be embarrassed. :)

Had I been a woman, I would have reacted very very voilently.
just as you said, i might have over reacted, not as a natural behavior. Look Look.
It might have been just because, I might have considered that the goof-up is intentional.
BUT, toooo many IFs. so, .. I cooled down.
it is really a typo. I don't want to alert that friend tooo about the interchange.
Thanks for all your love and immediate reaction. I AM glad.
but, still, I will get this "pinch" when I see my name tag, in the real world too.

He consultrainer,
I am betting it was a typo. You should ask the person if it was or if they had some meaning to it. I am thinking the person would feel really bad for it. It wasn't me, was it? I see that you have calmed down. That's good. I don't think it is worth worrying about.

I wouldn't react at all..I'd just overlook it...it might have been accidental, and it might have been their intent but maybe that's what they're looking for-a reaction?

oh my. YES. i have never thought of this point. The reaction !!!
I have failed miserably in the test, not to react to the stimuli .. is it not important, that you have only to keep yourself CALM and COOL? .. and, I lost my temper.
The Newton's third law is often interpreted wrongly.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite re-action!
it should be this way in real life: For every action, there should be a response.
