Today I got a call from my childhood friend. She lives in the US now and lived in Venezuela for a long time. Nevertheless, we not only kept in touch, but we are still best friends. Outside my family, she is probably the person I know for the longest time. Our children say we talk the same way, even if she got a venezuelan accent from her years in that country. We should be put in the Guinness Book of Records: we have been best friends for 55 years. How about you, friends? Can you take the gold medal from us? For how long have you been friends with your childhood friend? D oyou have one? Share!

It is really hard to keep in touch with those kind of friends, I guess they have their own lives and people are so busy these days that it is getting harder and harder to make those connections. I would like to be able to invite friends over but the way the house is at in terms of change and mess up with the change in decor, I just don't feel I could for safety reasons but also because I am slightly embarrassed by the mess. I tried to keep it organised but there is just so much work involved and so many loose ends to tie up and it is getting really depressing. I think it just maybe that time of the month for me because lately I have been feeling down and it can not be just the house. I am hoping and wishing for the best. Let us pray for times like these and so that we can strive or manage to just get through them.

I've been friends with my bestfriend for 12 years now since we were in 2nd year high school. We both have our own family. We both have a son. She's living far away from me. I have not seen her for almost 3 years now but we are in constant communication with each other. It's good to have a friend who could last for a life time. I hope we would be able to reach the same milestone as you and your friend. Have a nice day!

A few, but not most. I've gotten back in touch with a few via the internet, which was pretty cool.

I actually get to see my best friend this weekend because we invited her over for the weekend for my son's birthday party. I've known her since 1986 when I met her in grade six. So that would make it twenty four years of being friends. And best friends that is. We don't get to see each other as much anymore as we keep moving further away from each other. We were joined at the hip and inseperable at one time when we were younger but we both have kids now and live in different towns. I can't take the gold metal from you and your best friend no. Take care

I lost contact with some of my childhood friends. But recently I have reconnected with some of them due to being a member of facebook which is great. It's nice to be back in touch with some great people!

As far as I am concerned, I usually keep in touch with my frieds when I was so young. With the ages goes older, I still try my best to keep in touch with them as often as possible, which I think can help a lot to our friendship in the daily life. If we do not keep in touch for a long time, I think we will feel so unfamiliar to each other.

I've got a friend who I met in primary school. He was actually the first person who led me around the school and the first person who I talked to. His name is Clifford and I remember seeing him as a big red dog. Lol. I left primary school 2 years before him to go to a private school. I thought I wouldn't ever see him again but somehow , during my 3rd year in that school , he was back in life. He was even in my class again. He even still protected me. He would stand up for me whenever someone was even slightly unkind to me. After leaving that private school , I went to high school and I didn't see him for probably about a term. But then I spotted him one day , hanging around with some other friends and we instantly started catching up. Last year though , he left high-school early to get into work and now I'm certain I'll never see him again... so around a decade of friendship altogether. Pretty impressive , huh ? :)Not as impressive as your 55 year bond with your friend though. That has to be a world record!

Yeah i have many childhood friends but many dont keep communications. The longest childhood friend let me think is a friend that studied together for ten years from 2 grade to high school but we didn't get in the same college. It's so pity.now we keep interconnection! It's happy .when i am angry or frustrated i would call him .Aha it's a right means to relax myself!

I have 2 best friends from my childhood times...we got in the same elementary school till junior high, and collage in the same academy with one of them. so, we have been best friends for 16 years. But, nowdays, it's hard for us to meet each other...we have been busy with our own activities. it's sad actually, but at least we still keep in touch by phone and internet. I think if we truly appreciated our friendship of each other, we will always be best friends of all times.
