Erap 2nd?! This is completely out of hand... What do you think?

I would understand the part where Noynoy will be first in the poll... I would expect Villar will be second since he has also what it takes to be the president (aside from the annoying adds). But Erap!?! My gosh, have some citizens here in the Philippines have not realize what has happened like how many years ago.
Seriously, I would expect him to be in the last because of the mistakes and others but him 2nd on the poll, this is seriously not cool. People Power 2 happened because of him and now he is 2nd in the poll... Seriously, what are some people who voted for him thinking? As much as possible I would avoid the People Power and the mistakes happened during his regime.
He can read and write sure why not, but seriously, he can't read nor understand English (I am not sure the speaking part). He has a low level in English proficiency. And what do our country need is more partnership to other countries so that there are some business here and English is the number 1 language use for communication. Honestly, it would be very embarrassing if he has a translator with him every time he goes in the other countries. Seriously, English is being taught in this country and some have a good grasp with it.
I would love to say a lot, but for me who did not vote this election, I have no right to complain what happens to the election results, but since I am still a citizen of this country, I have a right to say something.
Kinda bit frustrating though...
Binay is leading while Roxas in second... Their numbers are still close since it has been like 71% ... they need at least 90+ for sure win....
Funny, my friend voted for Binay, he said it has something to do with free this and that. I mean I just said so you voted for him because he might give everything this country needs for free. I do wonder why Binay for VP, I mean he did a lot for Makati (but still, there are numerous of illegal business and others in Makati... And I will not forget there are still a lot of robbers in there.).
I would like to know your side. Say anything about it.

i think there's nothing wrong with the result of ERAP being in the 2nd place, its the will of the people to vote for him including me. just because that you dont like ERAP, doesnt mean that everybody will think the same. still alot of pinoy out there likes ERAP because of his being MASANG PINOY. and yes its true that ERAP is not like some highly educated guy like you or even good in speaking english since most people treats speaking english as an social status symbol coz its true that if you were able to speak english very well, it reflects that maybe you belong to the higher society coz as we all know, most marginalized people are "ENGLISH CARABAO" like me but please ....
RESPECT THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE, if they voted for ERAP then you should just accept it and do your part for the country. your right again that you have your right to say your opinion and i also have mine. but dont just judge someone's ability with just the reason that he cant effectively converse in english.

Like I said I may have no right to complain, but I have the right to speak.
I do have respect for Erap as a person, but running for Presidency with his issues and all that I don't respect him at all.
I am from a middle class family, I studied in the private school and I know how hard my parents worked just to let me study in a good school.
During his reign, there was a decline of jobs and firing employees. My Father was affected by this that he lost his job. I was like in grade school when the impeachment happened. Seeing the people rally and watching the impeachment made me think before, why vote for him in the first place? We all know he was already guilty from the very beginning.
This is what I really think about it, I am just saying what I had in mind and I hope you won't get mad. I am not judging him because of his poor English proficiency only, I judged him (when he becomes the president again) as a President itself, on how he will run the country. These time around, communications from other countries to do business in our country is important, to gain more jobs for the Filipinos. I do not care in what way he speaks English, what I care about is that will he be able to communicate with other countries without the help of a translator? As far the whole world knows, English is taught in our country and most foreign people go to our country to learn English.
For me, his capabilities being President is far away. Consider this, during his reign as president what has he done for our country? Do not include the ones he done for San Juan because I know the Estrada's rule San Juan. Is it a good example to the Filipino people to gamble? Even he has the 'Masang Pinoy' image which attracts only to the poor, he should not focus on the poor alone, he has to focus everybody in the country as one and what he can do to solve some issues.
He lacks the sense of unity to run this country, we are doing our part as citizens, but will be able to do his part with all these past issues and his bad habits which is now his picture.
I would rather have a president who at least can try do something for all of us rather than focusing on one part of the class only.
Sorry, I am just like this being able to talk about what I know and learn from others. By the way, being 'English Carabao' is nothing for me, I have friends who speak like that and I really don't mind as long I have someone to talk to.

I agree though I voted for Noynoy. We are not in the place to judge others. We must Respect the people's decision we must admit that most of the Filipinos like us are critics. We are trying to put the successful one down cause we want others for their position. Why don't we try to pull each others up and change ourselves, so that we can be a successful country someday.

I thought erap is a done deal but i was wrong. It turn out that he still have the charisma. With the results of the votes you will know how Filipinos forget things easily. They put him to jail and all of a sudden they want him to lead the country again. But that's democracy, majority wins and gladly it's working. This elections also show us that Filipinos are getting more mature when it comes to choosing their leaders. If erap won by a landslide during his time, this time around will show that some have learned their lessons and chose a different candidate instead. Without that maturity erap could have clinched victory again. but let us all not forget that this is politics, you don't know what's going to happen next. So let's wait and see if those who got elected can really deliver what they promised.

I was really shock with the results actually. Partly because we all know what has happened in the past and we try to avoid it. But then again, don't see the reason why he should be in the 2nd place.

On the Binay-Mar issue---I totally agree with you. Huh? I cannot understand why Binay should be in the lead. In our province Negros Oriental and Cebu, Roxas won by a landslide and Binay is only a poor second. So why is he heading the race? Where did he get his huge votes? Hmmm....is there anything fishy here? As to Erap, everybody is surprised he came out second (although a poor second at that). I would expect Gibo to be next to Noynoy since this is the trend in our province. Villar is way, way far in the game. He only got a few votes here. As to why people still vote for Erap, well, maybe they just wanted to spread the votes or maybe they are die-hard followers of Erap.

I dont understand why there were still people who voted for him when in fact he was found guilty and that was a the reason why he was impeached. I hate to say the word but some Filipinos are stupid. The decision of putting ERAP's name on the ballot, is one dumb idea.

Well, he has the qualifications of being the president. He can read and write plus he is a citizen of this country like I do not know how many years.... So, the comelec accepted his application. But seriously, they should have thought if he won again he would put the Philippines at the same post like before.
Something has to be changed in the constitution... It lacks more details..
