Hello guys, I'm not really the designated cook (my husband is) and I'm not really into cooking (I only cook to survive, hehe).. Anyway, when I started to work from home (after more than 15 years doing office work), having to cook meals for my children became one of my responsibility. It's been months since I started cooking for my kids and all I can served them are fried dishes (eggs, chicken, hotdogs, etc.), instant noodles (pancit canton, yakisoba), canned goods (corned beef, meat loaf, sardines).
I know it's not healthy cooking so I've done a bit of experimenting to make it more healthier like adding cabbage to instant noodles, adding petchay leaves to sardines, and adding potatoes to corned beef.
Can you suggest other easy to cook recipes that I can do within 3-5 minutes? or can you suggest other ways to make my cooking more healthier?

My kids love pancakes esp. the chocolate-flavored kind, but I never thought of adding oatmeal or fruits to it before. Thanks! I'll give it a try too. (^_^)

Veggie salad is good but you're right my kids won't like it, the only vegetable they eat is potato as in "french fries". ^_^

if your kids love to eat potatoes, why not try mashed potatoes mixed with melted cheese and a little bit of salt.. The taste is like french fries though it is not fried. Try to create something new with the mashed potatoes. It is very nutritious, the content of cheese fortified with vitamins, the healthy benefit of salt and the potato itself. If your kids don't like it, form mashed potatoes into a flat round burger patty and fry it.
