well, that's a lot of Machines to maintain for the next six years. maybe it can still be used for the voting of senators. probably they can use that for other reasons but disposing it will be considered unthinkable.

If they do this, they trash our money too. This is billions, why they can't find a better machine to last for a long time when they got billions of budget? I am wondering WHY?

Where did you get this information that they will be disposed? From what I know the machines will be stored but I doubt if they could survive till the next election comes unless otherwise they will be stored properly. Electronic devices usually are not that to survive especially if they will not be used for quite long time. They would deteriorate fast when they are not in use. So technically most of them will not survive if they will be stored.

what the hell?!
I wasn't aware of this?! or maybe the cards or the other ballots are disposable? if it is the entire pcos that would be UNTHINKABLE? such an advance thing shouldn't be thrown away. makes me wanna blame the co-author of automated elections. well, at least we got clear results, meaning comelec will be disposing two ballots, one coming from the old election and the next is this one

indeed we are rich, it just so happened that we don't know how to take care of our resources. we seemingly are a race of extravagant people, where practicality only meant to people who have the very least of us. but for those who have more, they don't know the meaning of taking care and valuing our resources - people in the government included and highly susceptible to this. what they never know is, it may not only pocket draining - buying those machine - it is also HARMFUL to our environment if not properly taken take of. the gov't need a huge warehouse to store ALL those election paraphernalia until it will be used again, and again they failed to see the need for this. People in the government seemed to be NEARSIGHTED as always. they only see the URGENCY of purchasing (for obvious reasons of course), but not of keeping and maintaining its quality.
May God Bless us ALL!

its a waste indeed if they dispose them. like extinct species someday they will only be found in the internet and youtube. if possible why not just send those machines later to those countries who will need an upgrade with their election procedure? these days it is important to reuse things that still work or the waste products only will increase.

What? Why would they do that? They can just store it in a safe place then use it again in the next election. I don't get it. Spending billions of pesos to a defective and disposable machine? What the heck is wrong with them???
