What kind of birthday games are there for 10 year olds?

This weekend on Saturday we're having my son's birthday. He's turning ten tomorrow but what's a birthday without a party? He's invited eight kids plus my two step kids and my best friend's child too. I haven't really planned anything for games. Our theme is Bakugan so I'm wondering if any mylotters would have suggestions for games that ten year olds would like?

Hide-and-go-seek, Simon Says, Freeze Dance, Musical Chairs and Duck-Duck-Goose were games I played a lot at partied when I was a kid. They're fun and don't really require and "equipment."
There's also always board and card games, or something like Mario Party of you have a game system.

I'm not familiar with Bakugan. Is that a form of anime? Anyway, what about setting up a pinate outside since it's getting to be such nice weather. Of course, I don't know if this is quite your son's cup of tea, but it is a thought.

Bakugan has been like Pokemon. You have these magnetic cards which you throw the bakugans on them and they open.
I can't think of any games that would be good for bakugan themes. I've even done searches and found uninteresting things that I think a ten year old would like.
Thanks for your reply,
Happy Mylotting

See if you can find a pinata with the Bakugan theme. I think I have seen some at Party City before. All boys love a pinata because they get to beat something with a stick.
Other than that you could do a scavenger hunt with thing that would be outside or readily available to the kids.
And of course if you have a wii, that will entertain them for a while.

I was always a fan of the classics, like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Of course, there other versions of that, like Pin the Nose on the Clown, etc., but it's all pretty much the same game.
You also might want to think about getting a bounce house. They're loads of fun, they tire kids out, and they're actually not as expensive as you might think.
Happy birthday to your son. I'm sure whatever you all do, he'll love it. :)
