Quality of post or quantity of post?

For more than 4 months I have been a member here in myLot, I observed that there are 2 types of myLotters here…
First are those who post in quantity. I observed that they are the ones who posted a one liner or 2 sentences here and leaves you a question or sometimes none… They do not elaborate of what he/she wanted to tell in his/her post… They just post anything they can think of and sometimes do not respond after the others responded...
Second are those who post in quality. Mostly they are the ones who elaborate and/or explain of what he/she wanted to tell… It maybe a story of what happened to them lately in their life or maybe posting of what’s happening in our everyday life and elaborate how did he/she come up to ‘talk’/post about it… You’ll know for sure if it is a quality post…
Of course we all want to reach the payout before the cut-off and to increase our myLot reputation…
I am not going to leave you a question here since it’s already the title of my post. Instead, I welcome you all myLotters to elaborate of what I posted here…

From the time that I was a very young child, my parents always taught me that I should try to always try to strive for quality in everything that I do. That is the reason that I feel that leaving a discussion that has quality in the initial post and taking the time to respond to what the people that take the time out of their day is important to me.
Whenever I choose to respond to a discussion, I also think that it is important to fully respond to the discussion and to say everything that you intend to say.

I always see to it that every discussion I post have a question.. I once started a two to three liner but the idea was there and brief so any reader wouldn't be confused on what's it all about, but most of my discussions are really with explanations and narrations so that everyone can relate in it. But most mylotters especially newbies prefer to answer to short-lined discussions, they wouldn't want to read most of paragraphed discussions...

Yeah, I was once like that when I was new here, but as I was reading on the seniors or the old members, I've come to learn that it is important to give quality responses rather than many comments. I was then angry for the many comments I've made in every discussion, I was earning little. Then I've come to learn the good way to respond and now I'm earning good here in mylot.

As a beginner, I was more concentrated on quantity, as those days there were only 20,000 mylotters and most of them used to post single line and even single word discussions and responses, gradually i realised that I must give more importance to quality posts than quantity, the credit goes to few mylotters, who are active here even today.

That's right samson! We should give credit to a few mylotters here who are still active even today... I haven't seen their post with just a one liner or just a 2 sentences... I know that the longer your post is much better but it should be in quality, meaning coming from your own words and not just a copy/paste from some articles or just copying a terms of service and paste it here...

Mylot is for the quality of post. Those people who do per quantity are just doing the same as other forums. Well Mylot is differ from forum site as our Mylot is for quality or essence of a discussion. I know a friend who can earn $1 in a day when he only post one discussion and he just makes the discussion more quality by commenting and share all his experiences. It became the top discussion here in Mylot. While those posting a one liner, will lead to nowhere as it is not really a qualified discussion here. I am sure they have lots to say not only one liner.

Ha?! It never happened to you pa about what? More posting and commenting quality discussions and more earnings like your friend who made $1 in a day? I thought you could easily do that since I mostly see you have many responded discussions and I'm sure it could reach a dollar... :)

Haha...That's when the time newbies here will ask how to earn here even if they started many post... Or comment into discussions but just a one liner...
As you said it, make a quality discussions plus making a quality comments plus becoming top discussions equals more earnings!

for me it depends on the topic of the discussion, if its worth typing a long and useful response.
but on my first day here at mylot i prefer quantity post because it a concrete thing unlike typing a long response and other wouldn't appreciate it..

I can understand if a new member here in myLot post more in quantity and and just a brief explanation or just a one liner... but in the long run, they should know a better approach in posting a topic here...

I've just found this site a couple of hours ago. And starting to like it. I've been to many forums sites but I didn't have idea that there is someone like this. What I love on this site is that its all English forums. This will help me enhance my English, I'm not that really good but I hope I will improve. Maybe there will be a time that someone will criticize my grammar and thats what I wanted. I don't care because he didn't know me either. Money is only secondary and also I also work as an online freelancer. Posting here is merely a hobby.

Quality will always win over quantity. You just need to have a look at your own life to answer that.
In life you dont want short sharp answers or quick fixes, you only want the very best. Most people will realise this at some point in their life and when they participate here at myLot. We are all here to help each other, not just to help ourselves.
It's a shame that sometimes the actions and responses of a few can spoil the enjoyment for so many other good members.
Have an active, productive time in myLot and your life.

portisray hi I vote for quality as too many of the quantity posts are very hard to reply to as they do not take enough time or words to really'explain what they are asking. I do not make one liners as they do not pay any way, and too I need at least four or five lines for most
of my discussions as I want to make an intelligent discussion that others can understand. So yes I am a quality poster or at least I make a good stab at it.

Hi Hatley! As I see your profile, you've been a member here in mylot for 3 years isn't? I'm sure it must be quality because as you said it, you can't make an intelligent discussion in just a one liner...
So continue posting a quality discussions so that newbies may understand a good posting (and also to those a not newbies here)....

I'm of the opinion that it is quantity as well as quality in optimum that matters most.Because too much quantity can make the posts small and simple without dwelling in to deep even when required.Whereas too much concentration on quality makes one stop at a place longer than necessary making it a specilised post or an academic one forgetting that it is a discussion after all we are doing.Optimization ,I think, that is needed in mylot participation.Do you agree ?

I like to imagine that mylot is the living room in my house on a day I am giving a party. There are lots of friends and I want to talk with as many as posible. To some I must give short answers (but, of course, not just a yes or no), to most I want them to understand me so that our bond grows deeper.
Quality posts means for me that I´m talking about my thoughts. You can´t do that in one line no matter what.
I am more interested in mylot as a social instance than as an earning site. Funny enough, the moment I forgot about the earnings, I started to earn more.
I never post one liners, I post a small quantity each day (sometimes I just answer posts but don´t post a single one myself). As I say. I do as I would do at home.
Im happy when I reach payout. I usually don´t when something special happens. I didn´t reach payment on February because we had a mayor earthquake. We didn´t have electricity for 3 days. I did not reach payout on April because I went to my vacations for 10 days. But I have made up the next month.
Take care!

of course, if we want to make sure that we earn every post we made here then we must post a quality post than waste our time posting a one liner and none sense post yet we cant get any from it or at the end it might deleted by admin. some might not realize it as they know having a lot of numbers of post will earn them a lot though not exactly. but just to make sure, better post a quality post. giving example or sharing a little experience or story will help to widen our post. also avoid plagiarism here like copy and post from other site though if we cant avoid it then at least leave a note that its from that site or you can also put the link of that site.

There is NO room for plagiarists here!
They all get caught and lose their accounts.
Only honest Lotters who post their own original content will reach payout.

Plagiarism is everywhere in the internet... There are some just copy and paste it here so that their post would look long and meaningful. You'll know if its plagiarize... The way the words were use compared to his/her other posts...

Hello,I think both quality and quantity are very important here, because quality is about money,I think many people caring quality more because they care money more, they are here posting to earn.Others they just here posting for fun,so they have a different attitude, they elaborate what they say,to me,I am just here posting to communicate and practicing my language,I want to elaborate my language but unfortunately my English is still limited,I feel a little grounded by my language skill.

I'd say both quality and quantity should go hand in hand if you want to have bigger earning and good reputation. I notice many members who are able to do this and it is because they have plenty of time to submit quality posts and make so many of these quality posts. No doubt, they are the ones who are earning more from this site.

I actually go for the quality posts. The reason why I joined mylot is it offers me a good way on sharing my thoughts to other users here. A lot of people here have a lot of ideas to offer and most of the responses I receive here are quiet good. Although every now and then there are those quantity replies which I sometimes ignore. Especially the quantity replies that I can't understand. Mylot for me is a very good source of informations from people of all ages and profession.

I think even us "old folks" from time to time may post silly discussions that are not even worth responding to, except to lighten the day or fill up some time. For the most part though, people who stay around and are active will begin to sense what a 'quality post" is and will be making them. They will have quality discussions, and when they respond to others it will also be a quality post. They even will have the opportunity to make quality comments to the responses of others. People who do not come to understand this often leave, whining about how hard this site is. This site is fun, if you make a few friends and just participate.

Hi there,
I got exactly! And that reminded me the similar things-the purpose of our lives.
It is physically impossbile for a well-educated, intellectual, or brace man to make money the chief object of his thought; as it is physically impossible as it is for him to make his dinner the principle object of them. So all healthy-minded people like making money-ought to like it and enjoy the sensation of winning; but the main object of their lives is not money; it is sth better than money.
As the saying goes, " if a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing well.", so don't let the money or not real fame crush your mind, because we get sth. more worthy us doing, that is enjoying life.
Thus whether quality or quantity, the answer is pretty obvious-that is it!

I would prefer the quality of the post than the quantity. But many of us here prefer to see the number that we have post a lot. As you can see, it shows beside in our name the number of posts we have made here.
But I still consider the quality of the post. So as much as possible I would like make a quality post.

In the past few weeks i have been studying mylot and i observe that you get more when you post quality discussion.. it also enhances your star rating when people rate your post. i hope always practice this kinds of post because it gives more information on the reader as well as gives income to the maker of the post.. its really hard to make quality post but it is worth it. =)

Actually i want to be both of them. I post as much as i could and of course with good quality too. As a newbie with poor English vocab, i always try to understand what the others problem. Although i only give a little, but i hope it can help a lot. i'm sure that with time, my writing skill will increase. This matter will not be obtained by people who write for quantity only.
