Am I the only one wonderfing WHY the individual performanaces were so BORING??

I don't about other mylotters that are American Idol fans but last night was pretty boring and lame for me. Jamie Foxx really tried hard with each one of them to bring out their best and it just didn't happne. I was just about bored with all the individual performances. The duets were far far better. If that was the only night of performances I would have no idea who to root for !! What did you think?
