Many people think that elections should only be for people who pays income taxes. I know all of us pays taxes in what we eat, drink and buy but i'm particular in taxes in the working class. With Erap Estrada being second in the national elections, I believe its more appropriate if people with no income should not be given a chance to vote. I think once again, the masses believed in Erap even though he was convicted already. It's just really sad to think that if people didn't vote for Noynoy, there's a big chance that Erap could win again the electoral race. Many people in Class E are still ignorant about politics and what Erap have done. Their votes can be easily bought by candidates because of their ignorance.
What do you think about this? Do you agree or disagree that elections should be for people who pays income tax?

Much as I dislike Erap, and I am happy that he is not the winner and hope to God that this will be the last time that he votes, limiting voting to the income tax paying people is a throwback to the old days. In the old days, only those who paid property tax were the only ones who could vote. Plus, I don't think people trust the BIR... It's a very tempting thought though...

I am also happy that he did not win. I did not know that in the old days people who paid property tax where the ones who could vote. When was that? Before Marcos? It's just very tempting with the recent results of the elections.
