The oil spill on the Gulf of Mexico is going to be very bad for the Lousiana economy, there is no denying that. I just wonder if , after this spillage, there will be an impact on the rules and regulations with deep water drilling. Do you think that in the light of this oil spill off shore drilling should be vbanned or would this be too great of a loss to the economy?

No we shouldnt ban offshore drilling without if wed have to rely heavly on the gulf states such as iraq and uae witch at the best of times arnt the most stable at the best of times. Plus these states are members of opec witch in the past year or so have agreed to limit oil production to keep oil at a stable price(basically increase it). Also if you shut down all off shore drilling there will be proberly at least a million people unemployed on the actual rigs and within research its self. Plus if you turn around to bp and shell and say you cant drill no more whose gonna take care of the oil rigs and oil heads thats out there that need regular maintance to stop them simpley falling into the sea or creating far worst diasters than the current one. As with piper alpha that happened in the north sea they changed the rules and regulations on all oil rigs world wide to make them safer for people working on them now i think its time for the goverments to say yes you can drill but you must contribute to a fund in case the worst happens or you must show how your going to prevent it andor clean it up if it does happen. So to some up oil is a nessery evil within this world without it there woulldnt e many of your everyday items not just putting fuel into trucks but making plastics and many other stuff youd be suprised to find oil had a part in it somewhere along the line. So nwithouut it we couldnt simpley survive so until we find an alternative to oil this is one of the risks where goin to have to deal with. And in my humble opinion there will never be a better another item like oil as its so heavly embedded into todays society and well into many goverments pockets so without it society and many ecomeys would just grind to a halt.
