i'm not that talented at all when it comes to things like these.
but i'm enjoying when i watch people who is really good at singing and dancing.
well,if i'm the one who'll choice,i'd rather pick singing.
i am not that good in singing but i'm not also that bad!
well, some of my friends said i have a good voice but i don't have a lot of courage to shout it all to you! i guess i'm just good in humming than singing itself!
i can dance a little bit.well, i just dance in my high school JS prom.
there was a program back then, and also some performance at our classroom back also in high school days. that was a group dance that's why it doesn't bother me at all.
i never danced alone. i'm not comfortable when a crowd of people is looking at me.
how about you? are you good at dancing or singing?
can you teach me how?

dancing and I love watching So you think you can dance. I love the movement of the body and dancing keeps us fit. Maja Salvador is my favorite dancer. She is just perfect when she groove. Dayanara Torres and Charlene Gonzales are my second favorites and third is Aga Muhlach. Yes Aga Muhlac. Have you seen Bagets, Hotshots and Campus Beat. It was all his movies from the 80’s and he danced there and he was really good. So the question was answered. Even when I was in school I danced. And I choose dancing. But during college I choose singing in a choir because I have scholarship there. Well I do not have regrets since our conductress was the best and I learned a lot by her strict conducting and discipline. It was a great experience. You know I can say I love both but dancing is my favorite.

hello shibham, nice to see you here.
it's good to know you can play instruments.
may i know what kinds of instruments is that?
i have not learned to play any kind of instrument, though i have experienced holding and stringing the guitar,i'm just not good at it. i can say,it really needs more practice for one to be able to learn the most out of it.
anyways, enjoy yourself playing those...hope i could also experience playing guitar again...

You are good in making symbols here and I even don't know those... how to make them.. please teach me that... like smile and so many :) we use this one on yahoo but I don't know whether it will work here or not... also tell me how to make my words bold ... oh? you're a bathroom singer? i seldom sing in bathroom, well sometimes when i'm doing something terrible inside the bathroom i used to sing while sitting in the bowl...
you can use bold letters, italic and underlined even without having 200 posts.
but seems like you getting near to it. you know what, when i was like you,i'm really aimimg to get 200 posts to have the chance and use the emoticons/symbols. that time,it's really hard for me to get the 200 posts,i don't know,it's like i'm pressuring myself. and when i got 200 post,i'm really excited and always use that smileys,it's really fun using it.i'll be waiting till you get it okay?
take care my friend!!!

i prefer singing more cause its not that tiring unlike dancing it needs much energy..
and also singing they say heals and calms our soul..
and also is can help releasing bad energies or auras in our bodies.

wow! zedrick, you must have known something about auras huh?
are you an astrologist? hehe
well nice description there,do you have a good voice?
dancing is too much tiring and needs much energy but also releases bad things that we feel inside of us. and it can cause you to be fit also...

If I can be good at both, I would really like that but, as of now, I don't have any talent for the two skills that you have mentioned. Given a choice, I would choose dancing. Not that I have anything against singing but, dancing has movement that I don't usually do and it a good for of exercise, as I think it seems to be.
When you are good in dancing, I think you can easily get along with different kinds of people. Knowing good moves for different dancing styles would be good too!
If ever I would end up singing, I would really try my best to enjoy it while being good at it. Being able to sing is quite convenient since most gatherings with friends and families would enable one to sing more than to dance so, I think singing too is a good skill to have.
Never the less, I am not really good at any of these. (^_^")
If your friends say that you do have such skills, you should just enjoy using them.

Reading my post just made me realize that I should really proof read my composition before ever posting them. My post sure had a lot of corrections needed. (^_^")
Well, its either we are born with such talents or we just have to develop it ourselves. Others would also say that, if we are not talented on some skill, perhaps we would be talented on another. A good example would be drawing or any of the creative arts if not performing arts that we could think about.
Since your friends are convinced that you do have something going on in singing, you might as well do it often or, as you have mentioned, enhance it
I too could recall those days in high school when we had to dance as a group and that included presentations during the foundation day of the school and prom nights for third year and fourth year students. Those were good times since we just practiced and we didn't really had classes that time. (^_^ )
I would only sing the songs that I know which kind'a limits how far you can really enhance any "skill" and if there is anything like that within me at all. Perhaps, if ever I have enough time with money, I would take dancing lessons as well

yeah,it's nice if we really do have talents in both areas, right?
but i can say,not all people are blessed to have that talents.
some people just have abilities and they have enhanced it i guess.
i'm happy that you are able to enjoy yourself doing both of them, even though you have said you are not good at it. at least you have tried.
i am also like that.i am not that good in singing though my friends told me i have good voice, well it's not that good or great to be a singer.i can say,it's just good to hear, but depends also on tones and how high the notes are.i can't sing if it's too low or too high.
regards with dancing,i don't have talents at all.i have stiff body. but i have joined group dance when i was in high school.those dance with few steps. and most of the time, with partners. i have tried ballroom dancing cause it was part of my subject that time in college.and in high school,i was part of the program back then where a lot of us danced folk dances and cotillion. it was a happy moment,i can say.

oh,you liked dancing much better than singing?
well,i can say it is really hard to enhance dancing when you really have no talent at it,one should take lessons just to improve their own selves with that skill.
well,i prefer more of singing than dancing,my friend, cause i can do it anytime of the day when i want to.not like dancing where it is needed to have space to keep yourself get moving.
well, whatever it is,you know what you really like and what your heart desires.
it's all up to you if you really want to enhance it,then good.
but for me,i don't know if i want to take lessons in singing.
i have no patience in that.
and i am most comfortable when i happen to listen, not to sing myself out, lol!

hi anuraa,
you are good at both dancing and singing?
can you do them both at the same time?
i really loved watching people who can do both at the same time.
i mean, it's really tiring because of moves from dancing and your voice can be sound awkward if you can't manage to do both. do you dance when watching TV dancing also?
i'd love to hear from you...

Ha ha! I have a good voice but I am tone deaf. I transpose, say seven times, when I sing a stanza in a song. So, I guess I have to pick dancing. I can do the fox trot, given the body.

A few years ago, a college graduate student went to an elementary school and talked with a first-grade class. She asked, "Who can dance" and everybody's hand went up. "Who can sing?" Same thing. Every one of them. "Who can draw?" Again every six-year-old said "Me,me, I can!" She then went to a local college and asked the same questions of a freshman class. Some could dance, a few could sing, and only a couple said they could draw. What happened? Everybody can do all of this stuff when they are six. By the time they are twenty, they no longer think they can do them.

We can all sing and dance and draw when we are young. As we get older, we begin to think our singing is off key, our pictures are crude, and our dancing is awkward at best. Generally, that is true, but it was also true when we were six. I like to sing, but the people around me do not enjoy it much. I guess it is about understanding your limitations. When you are very young, you can do anything. Gradually, you learn that you do not do some things very well.

hi again trruk1,
yeah, when we were younger i think we can do everything we want without any limitations.
but as we get older, there are a lot of differences that changed our abilities to do things in our childhood. there were a lot of attitudes and the way we think of things as a child is different when we get older.
i think we sometimes feel like we give our best but when it comes to views of different people, things change according to their expectations...

Hi annavi23,
Ha ha I really can't dance. Not even a cell of my body can dance well!!! LOL I like watching people dancing. I sometimes laugh as some people dance in funny ways. Social dance is beautiful especially when people are wearing the beautiful gowns. I only knows how to dance waltz and a little bit of cha cha!
Singing is better. I like to sing. I sometimes sing softly when I am walking on the street. I feel so relax. When I listen to songs, I often follow the singers to sing.
Have a good day!

Folk dance is really easy to learn because of the simplicity of steps. However, I'm not sure if I can really dance Tinikling. Also, the steps could be easy in folk dance but maintaining balance is quite difficult like the dance where you put layers of clay pots or glasses of candles on the head and dancing on narrow benches.

i can do tinikling, but sometimes it's scary because you might get your foot squeezed by the bamboo.but it's really fun dancing folk dances right?

i remember i used to be a choir in our church, well that's urgent because lack of choir persons that's why i belonged there. it was in my elementary days i guess. but it didn't help improve my singing. i also admire one of my classmates back then in high school.he is really good at singing and makes him popular with girls, but sometimes guys always tease him,he's like somewhat gay. which i think he's not. we are the same,i also know some of folk dance that's why i joined the program in my high school days. well, folk dance is really easy to learn right?

I hate to dance, in fact I will go as far as I avoid it. One time while I was working (waiter here) I did a function room and some people just grabbed me and tried dancing with me. It was very awkward!! LOL

i also don't like much of dancing cause i am not good at it. i am very shy when it comes to dancing and i will definitely be embarrassed to dance in public.
well,i have danced before when i was still young and it was compulsary and i have no choice but still it was not that hard steps,so i enjoyed dancing as long as it's group dance or folk dances. i have also joined subject social dance which i had learned ballroom dances.it was easy steps that i really enjoyed, though i am not good at it.still,i am happy i had danced..

singing is good and helps us keep a good mood even though we felt sad,we can sing, but if we are sad,i guess it's hard to dance like that.in dancing it will be more of happy face, and emotions. well,if we sing,it helps us breath more comfortably and feel relaxed, not like dancing.

Considering the fact that I honestly believe that I was born with two left feet, I really do prefer singing over dancing. I was in the choir at school when I was in elementary school and since I've been older, I've found that I love to do karaoke. However, when the opportunity is presented to me to be able to go out with some friends and take a dance class, it is usually something that I will pass on because of the fact that I just don't think I would be able to stay on my feet the entire time.

Hello kingparker!
I admit being too shy can be hard at times. I am also a shy one. Like you, I like more of facing the computer, but then I think it can cause us more to be away of other people. Yes, being sociable in computer can be good, but it can also lessen our way of communicating in real life as in face to face encounters. I have been working in computer for almost a year now. and I can say it doesn't help on how sociable I am. Some of my friends online doesn't know me in person. And they thought I am a very sociable person so when I tried to tell her I am a shy one, she was surprised.
Well, I hope I can come out of my shell. I am not good at both fields. But I have danced before during my high school days just because of school activities. I can sing but I am not that good singer. I can say I can ride with the tune but I am not perfect at it. I just hope I can learn to handle my shyness.
@annavi23 (6522)

so,are you saying you are good at both fields?
hmm...i wish i could dance well, but i don't have such talents on that. i can only do few steps which are not complicated. and i can say,i am stiff most of the time.
i can sing, but lately,i realized i am not really good at it. i can just sing for myself instead...
