He said in 'iwanan na natin and daang baluktot at tutungo na tayo kasama niya sa daang tuwid.' In other words, we have to face right there at the straight way, were progress is promised.
At this point, I am really hoping he can give the country the remedy and solution at this time.
I am a Gibo supporter, but I am happy with the result of the election... but I am not sure he would do different, but I am hoping he would...
Now what do you think? Are you happy with the result? Is NoyNoy the right one? I mean your feeling right now about him...

Perfect, that it is friend... I also experienced to become a leader before, i was a president in the school body organization before back few years ago, and I realized that the success lies on the majority, all of the students helped that's why the whole school year was so successful.

I also am for Gibo. But this is democracy right here. I do hope that he would stick to his promise, and he would really lead the country into the right direction. Though we must never forget, that change no matter how the leader would do it, really comes from the people. So we need to help him to realize his goal for our country, which is to be free of corruption.
God bless our motherland.

Yes, you are right there friend... the change indeed is always coming from us... is always coming from every individual... Noynoy would not succeed even if he will going to do his best if everyone would not adhere to change... the change for the betterment, the best start is coming from us! And I hope that every leader now in our nation starting from the lowest level will adhere to zero corruption...

i am happy with the turn-out of the first ever automated elections in the country. even when there are lots of doubts about this new system, at least we're through and we had experience this. i can also say that i am happy that my candidates win. and for noy, let's give him the chance and the support we can give him and his leadership.

Sure, thanks for the links. And when people can really saw some real evidence of cheating, then we could not just sit here... I agree with you. i guess you were that vigilant during the election, i will be going there neil...

Yes, let us support him neil... Now I am thinking of those candidates who are trying to complicate the result of the election somehow... sometimes I could not understand them... but I know that this first ever automated election is a sign of progress... so let's all embrace it... perhaps this is not really 100% accurate, but this is better than the manual election...
And as for Noynoy, though I am not really convince of his ability to lead the nation, but I am happy... because many of us are happy for him... what I am going to do now is pray for the betterment of the nation!

That's why I am against as Villar is famous of his 'tapuysin and kahirapan!' poverty could not be ended at this point of time, it needs miracle, but at least there would be some effective remedy !!!

If Noynoy can lead us out of corruption and poverty he will be more heroic than his father. But honestly I think he cannot do it. Noynoy is still too green to handle Philippines. Armed with his mother and father he win the elections without any notable qualifications! But still we must support the new elected officials and work together to make our country proud.

In my mind I believed that he can do that . Let us wait and see
what happened next on the day that he deliver his speech and
on July I guess. We know as we will remember the promised he
gave n media and on the campaign period. We can be sure of it
as we observed and noticed all his deed this coming July .
He is my president and I can see in his eyes that he said truth
as what are his parents do for our good of all countrymen in the
Philippines. We just hope that all he was told was in real and
could be made. I know he belongs to respected people and a hero
father.

It's my first time to vote, and my bet didn't win. I voted for Gordon, and I was really hoping that he won (Gibo is also fine with me), so I was kinda disappointed when Noynoy won. I thought it would be a close fight between the two of them, but Gordon was only in sixth place. Not that I don't like Noy; it's just that, I don't think he has done that much yet compared to Gordon. Also, I don't like the fact that people voted for him because he's popular and the son of two historical people. But what am I gonna do now? He already won. At least it wasn't Erap or Villar who did. I just hope that he fulfills those promises. It's kinda hard to trust one person when you still hasn't witnessed his works. I hope he does a good job, I mean a REALLY good job in empowering the Philippines.

Good friend, I am happy you really voted... me, it's my 2nd time to vote... though my president did not win, but i am happy with the result, and look, Gibo is very sport, I can see it... and perhaps he can still run for the next election... i understand he did not win now, because he is not that popular at this time, but soon who knows?
Now let us support Noynoy!

I dont think Noynoy alone can lead us to his Promised way. Not even the most intelligent president of the philippines has ever done it. We've had presidents so intelligent and passed so many bills in the senate but nothing still had happened to our country. People always make complains about the way our president rule us. They didn't think that the reason our country doesn't progress is because of the people. If we don't like the president, EDSA revolution takes place which i think is already so obsolete. It didn't even take effect in the present administration. If we just keep united and work hard for our country, everything is possible especially the dream of a better and progressive Philippines. Let's not blame the President because he's not a God that can lead us in just one snap and impeached him if we don't like the way he rules. Let's change already.

He would be able to lead the Philippines. If I remember it right, went through a "retreat" prior to filing for his candidacy. This new phase of his life would be the greatest challenge of his life. His good moral and portray of a non-corrupt official is a good step in encouraging the people to cooperate and help him in accomplishing his goals. I just hope that people will only stick to constructive criticisms-- criticisms that would help Noynoy and the rest of the government officials who are sincere in bringing progress to our country and not those criticisms that would eventually contribute to the total destruction of out land. I know, everyone of us has this hope for a better Philippines with all the unpleasant things we have faced.

Let us wait and see. I doubt if he can really make a difference. He had a chance during his 3 terms in congress and 3 years in senate. He won the election by riding on his parents fame. I hope I am wrong and I hope he can really lead us to the promise land.

It's too early to tell. I really hope he can do it and help this country move forward. Big change already happening in Philippine politics and hope we will be united. The result now is much credible and so happy that Comelec shifted from manual to automation. I hope that he is right eventhough i never voted him.

let's not expect too much. He's a newbie. although he did make those baluktot and tuwid statements, it's not that easy. We can actually compare him to Obama... it's easy to make those promises BEFORE the elections and BEFORE being sworn to office, but when you get there, in that position, it's not that easy. It's a different ball game. there are situations there already that he has to live with, and it won't be easy to deal with. let's call a spade a spade, it's a snake pit.
Regarding changes, let's not expect a miracle. changes take time. it will take time... so much time to be precise. it will take years, and i'm sure the time needed will exceed his term of office for the actual changes to be really felt, that's why it's very important that succeeding administrations will have the same platforms, developed platforms, so that programs and projects will be continuously implemented to fully achieve their goals.
Another thought, he did promise those matuwid na daan, but it's gonna be really hard. He would need the country's heart for vigilance, common goals... that's what we need.
What I hope we get to change in our culture, is our tendency to just leave everything to the government to do. We, the citizenry, should actually do something as well about things in our country. The government is just there to provide us the avenues for whatever progress we need or aspire for, but it is the people who should do the work.

well i'm glad noynoy won as a president and not villar. As his promised, we will see his 6 years if he can lead it better for the sake of our country for he said that he will not spend the money for visit different countries, but to resolve the economic crisis. All leaders always have a anomaly even they try their best they can do for the country. So we expect in Noynoy administration, there will be an improvement on his 6 years of service.

hello prime,
I am a Gordon Supporter but that part you said in tagalog (is violation of discussion guidelines, i didn't report it) was from his commercial and frankly, i DON'T believe any word that was mentioned. i would only believed if he has track record on it.
I am happy that the results were fast but not happy with Noynoy winning, it's because that big stuff was part of it including the MEDIA, they made look like it was a fair election but before that there was massive bombardment of commercials of Noynoy

Hi Prime! Noynoy is not my bet.. but we have to accept the fact that he is the one who's many Filipino elected. what we have now is to support him and pray for him that our almighty God will lead him into the right direction, and give him strength not to temp to make bad, instead to make it right for his country-men..

I think it not only depends on NoyNoy. Leaders cannot lead can't lead to anything if the followers are not willing to follow. There is also a notion that the President is a savor of some kind, someone that make miracles and solve all peoples problems while they just sit and wait. Well that will never happen. It will be a big help to have a good president but if the people don't change nothing will be done.

Bravo, I agree with that friend... if there is a leader, there must be good followers. I was a president in my high before, and you know what, I know that the over all success depends on the majority... so if we are going to support noynoy, then there would be success in the end... Go Philippines.
