myLot Rewards

I sincerely apologize if there's a simple place to learn more about this, but I searched through the last couple of pages, and looked in the Frequently Asked Questions list, and couldn't find information on this. Basically, I was just searching for discussions that I'd be interested in, and a thing popped up that said, essentially, that I had just received a one cent reward from myLot! This is fantastic and really cool, but I was wondering if anyone knows anything more about the rewards? Like, do they just, every so often, pop up if you happen to be in the right place at the right time? Is it a bit more structured than that? Either way, it's really cool and I totally appreciate it. Have any of you ever gotten a random reward from myLot?

mysdianait - Thank you very much. That's incredibly helpful. I have no idea why I wasn't able to find that on my own. It seemed so clear when you linked it, so I'm not sure where I was and why I couldn't get to where you linked. I think I was in a more general FAQ section, though I'm trying to retrace my actions and figure out exactly how I got to wherever I was. At any rate, again, thank you. I see your comments a lot around here, and you always seem very helpful.

I sure hope this comment does not violate any guidelines, but I just need to get it out of my curiosity somehow... I understand the rewards are random and I've been using myLot search randomly as often as I need to in natural manner. I'd expect the rewards would be given randomly, but somehow I've noticed that mine has come weekly. I just can't help wondering if anyone else also receive theirs somewhat systematically. Oh well, there's probably nothing to this; I'll probably just need to move on, again, and stop worrying about things like this... Watch mine will be random as soon as I post this; hey, random is still much better than none at all...

Hi, you get rewards for searching and using the search box in a normal way. Reward are random and you only get one each day but i got a lot of them and they can be worth much more than 1c. Mine are usually 12cents but i bet they'll get bigger. It's a great bonus here at mylot i love it when i see that blue box. But off course i use it with the purpose to search not to earn. I think the reward is also calculated considering how much you contributed that day. Hope it helps

That's good to know. Thank you. And yeah, I can definitely see how twelve cents every so often can add up.
