Where is the weirdest place you've fallen asleep (and shouldn't have)?

Have you ever fallen asleep somewhere other than your own bed? Have you ever fallen asleep when you shouldn't have? What were the consequences? What happened when you woke up? Please do share!
I have a couple to share with you...
A student was sitting in his health class and ended up falling asleep. He fell into such a deep sleep that he actually dreamed he was riding a giant bike! Suddenly, he fell off the bike (in his dream), which caused him to slam his elbow down so hard on his desk in class. The motion caused him to wake up, and when he came to, everyone was staring at him. He probably had no idea why!
A man fell asleep while he was sitting in a church service. He started waking up to the sound of music in the background, so he assumed it was time to stand up and sing. He woke up and stood up so fast that he got a major head rush and ended up passing out!
I'm interested to know if you've had any similar experiences when you fell asleep and shouldn't have. Thanks in advance for sharing!

I once fell asleep on the train (luckily I did not miss my station). My dad falls sleep very easily when tired and was blissfully snoring away at the cinema despite it being so loud!

As you know, the train was so crowded that you should stand all the way at certain times.I had one experience when I was a student. At that time,I went back to school from my home by train, which was so crowded, and I didn't bought a seat tickets, but a stand one.OMG,what a long journey! Although in that case,I fell asleep leaning on other's seat, and a heavy sleep!!When I was waken up by a noise,I didn't know where I was and I found that my bag was open,I looked over and over.Luckily,I didn't lose anything.Oh,I was so scared!
That was my worst experience, and a weirdest place where I had fallen asleep.

You must've been so tired to fall asleep standing up and on a train on top of that! They always say when you're tired (like when a student is on the verge of falling asleep in class) to stand up because that'll keep you awake. However, in your case, it was probably warm, the train was crammed with people, and you had the perfect place to lean on, with the back of the other seat being close by. I can understand why you'd fall asleep, but that must've been scary waking up not knowing where you were! I would hate that.

I have fallen asleep outside my bed...but it's usually while I am travelling in a train or bus....and sometimes in our own car. But I can never go into a deep sleep during these circumstances. So, have never been in really embarassing situations...except 'nodding' off!
My father is working in a company at Africa and he has caught quite a few people sleeping on the job. He has taken pictures of all of them and compiled an album. It's actually fun looking at the pics because they come up with so many creative places and ways to fall asleep.

I'm the same as you - the only place I can really get into a deep sleep is in my own bed. My husband and I went to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Tennessee last weekend. Although they're looking for a nice house, they have a small apartment right now. Our "room" was the living room and slept on an air mattress. It was somewhat comfortable, but just not like my own bed so I didn't sleep quite as well.
As far as your dad taking pictures of his workers sleeping on the job, that is really funny how he collected evidence! What a neat idea to get some laughs later. (I'm sure some of them were nice as evidence in case he needed to use them against someone - LOL!)
Thanks for your response!

..hi.. It was during my college life.. I was sitting in the front row and I suddenly fall asleep.. my teacher of course was insulted and I was embarrassed.. I ask for forgiveness from her and explain that I did not intentionally sleep in her class.. It was just that I can't help falling asleep..

That was really good of you to apologize for falling asleep in your class. It's kind of hard to miss when you're in the front row! That must've been tough. I know a lot of teachers can be understanding because they know how much pressure the students are under. Hopefully your teacher accepted your apology!

I dont think it is the weirdest place for me to sleep but it was indeed the most inappropriate place for me to sleep. I am a teacher and its a tiring job. I slept in my classroom and I was not suppose to do that especially when the students are already there. It was unintentionally done.

I think that's pretty funny you fell asleep in the classroom because you're a teacher! The last couple of responses have been able students falling asleep in class, but yours is quite different! I think that goes to show that it happens to all of us, and that sometimes it's hard to get enough sleep when we have all these obligations and things taking up our time and energy. I hope everything worked out for you in the end, though!

These stories are so funny, LOL! Thank you for sharing them. I'm ashamed to admit this but I have fallen asleep in church. This was when we were in our older auditorium and it could get very relaxing. Also, I don't sleep very well at night and I have to be up early on Sunday Morning. It was during the evening service that I would get so tired. Several years ago, I fell asleep at the beauty shop while having my hair colored. I must have been very tired because I usually don't fall asleep while having my hair done. It can be relaxing, though. I was going to a different hairdresser back then. The hairdresser I use now said she's had customers fall asleep on her quite a few times. I used to have customers fallasleep on me while I did their nails, lol.

Hi Cyrus! I hate that when it's cold in church, but that actually does well to keep me awake during the service! I also have my notebook to take notes or my electronic tablet/computer so I'll keep myself busy instead of falling asleep. I think church is a really tempting place to fall asleep because you're not only sitting down, but it's quiet, and you're sitting still so that's when the brain can sometimes shut down and then the body follows suit. I'm glad you're honest enough to admit that you've fallen asleep in church. I have done the same, my friend!

I've fallen asleep in church, too, but like you, it was normally at night after a long day or day of work. It's so hard sometimes! We don't mean to do it, but it just happens. It's comfy on those pews, and then sometimes it can be quite warm in there with all those people there. I've never fallen asleep at the salon, but I've come close getting a pedicure - those are SO nice! The way I looked at it is that if I fall asleep, I'm not longer enjoying the pedicure since I'm sleeping through it! So I stayed away - LOL! A couple months ago when I was getting my hair done I could see in the mirror a young girl behind me getting her hair done, and she was literally nodding off as the lady was doing her hair. Luckily, she wasn't getting her color or cut done. She was only having her hair professionally straightened and maybe even permed that way. I could tell the lady doing her hair was starting to get a little frustrated, but she was mostly getting a kick out of it! Too funny. Thank you for sharing.

We have a new building where I worship now and it gets pretty cold in there here lately. However, it's been so hot outside here lately and it feels good when you first walk in. I imagine the men get hot in their long sleeve coats and shirts, though. We keep blankets on some of the pews for anybody to wrap up in when they get cold. I didn't mean to get off the subject but I just thought I would throw that in.

Hi,JJ
Let me see.......
The probably unearthly occasion I have ever slept in is the classroom I think.Well, actually,I seldom slept during the classes for I got owlish teachers in my school period.
But there is a story happened on one of my classmates in elementary school. The guy was sleeping during the preaching time ,and at the same time the teacher asked him to answer up to a question(just to recite one chapter of the textbook we had been taught),the guy was waked up by the one beside and stood up with muddled head, the funny thing happened after the teacher repeated her request, the guy recite the title of the book with a weird tone like a pop tune, everyone here burst into laughing for couple of mins............

I remember before that I've fallen asleep inside the toilet room. I just sit down the toilet bowl and since that toilet bowl is near the wall so I just leaned my head in the wall so that I could get some sleep.
I've fallen asleep their for 30mins. I decided to sleep there because I told my supervisor the I would like to poo but I all I want is to get some nap.

I'm glad your sleep was subtle enough that your teach didn't notice. I was in a really large class when I start dozing off one time. The teacher would walk around up front of the class to try to keep things interesting, but I was so tired. I remember not really caring much about the class itself or the subject (it was history or something...boring!), but I really liked the teacher. She was usually pretty cool. Well, I remember she asked me a question because she saw me start to doze off. She would've never said anything about my sleeping, but that was her way of still being cool about it, but yet still making sure I was paying attention. I didn't know the answer (because I'd been sleeping instead of listening, and even if I'd heard the question, I probably wouldn't know the answer anyway lol). She could tell I was dumbfounded, so she was gracious and asked the kid behind me instead. I did learn my lesson and didn't fall asleep in her class again!

Ah, so many funny places, but worst time was when I was on duty in church to change slides for hyms. Luckly i did not fall asleep while we were singing, but afterwards we had a speaker, and from a great night of Gmod, I sort of fell asleep trying to give the impression I am loking at the ground. Unfortunately, the project decides to go on by itself every 10 min, and while I wan't looking, it desplayed: Children may now go their classes.

sleeping in the classroom during my final exam . Maybe due to stress because of deadline of projects and studying some lessons. I slept for about 35 minutes and thanks to my classmate for bothering to wake me up. I actually manage to answer 75% of the exams.

Hm.. probably the time we had a sub in school and everybody slept on the floor curled around desks. It was quite entertaining to see the sub's expression of all of us. Of course we weren't supposed to fall asleep, but nobody was stopping us! And our actual teacher never found out!
