The movie

I am watching "The Fellowship" right now. My girlfriend has never seen it, she is loving it. She also has never read the books. I have read the books and seen the movie. I thought they did a pretty good job with it. Certain parts were left out which left questions in my mind as to why, and some holes in the plot. I guess the movie would be like 35 hours long if they really tried to be complete about it. I think they did a decent job in putting an epic onto a screen for a couple hours. It is not an easy task, I'm sure.

I have so much love for LOTRs. It is my all time favourite and I really can't wait to see The Hobbit. In fact, I have this overwhelming urge to watch all three today! So thanks for that!

its a good movie to watch and it will establish the importance of job and career and i liked it for the explicit scenes and also the depth of the character

You should watch the extended editions. It has a few seconds added here & there that add a lot to the movie. Your right though, if they added everything in the book it would be an all day event.

Thats a great epic, and, as u say, all history is very long for an simply movie.

When you see the last part "Return of the King" after have reading the book, it seems that the movie is very short, when it last more than 3 hours. Excelent work adapting this long story to just 3 movies.
