How to identify a PTC is a SCAM site?

As most of us here in mylot have join some PTC, I believe at least you will encounter that some of the PTC at the beginning paid you, but later it disapear. You are no longer able to login to their website...the worst part is that you have just paid some money to upgrade to get better benefit...how many of you out there have encounter this before? I believe many mylotter out there would like to know how to actually identify a SCAM Ptc site from the begining, or maybe can see from their website, or maybe from their respond. Please share your experience about this, I hope this will help many mylotter to save a lot of their precious time and money.
