Ganesh.. Torrent download speed means the speed with which you are downloading the file. Torrent upload speed means the speed with which others are taking data from your computer of that file. Torrent is the shared network it's like 10 people have a movie. and 100 are copying from it. meanwhile all are not downloading from those 10 only.. 100s are downloading from 10 and also from one another. as it download in parts. you can increase download speed by opening more ports also download speed are set as unlimited from Option - Preferences. First of all these speeds depend on your connection speed. then it also depend on the health of the torrent. so use the greener torrent for downloading. rest if you dont put any number in uploading or downloading speed there will not be any limit of the speed. or you can limit the speed of uploading and downloading by putting a number there. so download is what you get at your system from the internet and uploading is what you sent from your system to internet.

For best downloading results, you will want to max out your download speed and keep your upload speed low (maybe, 1/5th). Your download speed tends to suffer if you don't put a cap on your upload speed during the download. When you're done with your download, you can maximize your upload speed to give back to the torrent site esp. with sites like Demonoid. By the way, it's not good to put you upload speed to zero because some software will detect this and may give your download less priority.
