I think for simple needs as well as professional video photography you can buy Sony DCR-HC38 miniDV camcorder, it is economical but effective.

Now I have bought a MiniDV Cannon camorder and I find it good especially when playing it on TV.

Can you tell me what kind of Canon camcorder you decided on? I'm looking for a good miniDV camcorder and am looking for opinions.

yeah i too have heard that sony ones are good but they are little bot of expensive too. So I have bought now of Cannon - mini DV. We got a good deal for that.
