I quit my job last October to chasing my dream--to be a interpreter. But things never go as following your plan. I spent a month to learn the skills. But when classes finished, I found it was hard to get a job without certification. So I have to pass the test first. The exam opens twice a year, May and Oct. I was ready to take the May one. But no time left for me coz my new house needed to decrate. After 4 months, I finally can set down to study. But I found it so hard to be in the mode. I used to be a fast learner. But now, I only can see the blue. Are you have the same feeling? Do you recently quit your job and not get another job? Are you just in the blank period?

Just think of it as a challenge that will make you dream become reality. Even step you will make there are always consequences. After conquering those, you will stronger in achieving your dream and that is - to be an interpreter. Is it the same as a linguist?

I'm on your side! Aja Hwaiting! :) Honestly I didn't have the guts to pursue linguistics. But I really DID want it. Now, the longing has gone somewhere.. :(

sort of. I want to be an interpreter coz I like language. I feel the letters are so cute just like catoon characters jumping and dancing all the time. Translating one language into another one is very fun to me.

Don't you worry! amyiceman to tell you frankly, I have quit quite a number of jobs. And, I always live in the blue. But, I made it my favorite color. I made all the roaming to be of advantage. And, after over 10 months of jobless roaming, ( I have the private practice though, to feed my family during the jobless state, ) YOU WILL NOT believe, I landed up as a DIRECTOR, on the board of a 100 crore INDIAN RUPEE public limited company. It happens. You will sure make your dream come true.. Just be patient. and, do your homework ...

Thank you. I'm in the jobless state for almost half a year, and I'm a little worried. I can get a job easily which is not my dream one, but I won't. I'm a little bankrupt right now and have to ask my parents for money which makes me feel shame. So I'm just worried. Really. But I think my dream will come true and I'm still working hard for it.

don't worry about asking help from your parents. They will be more than happy to be of assistance. please update us ... and, if you are still not in a position to make it through, I would suggest a military tactics. retreat FOR attacking later. join a different job, make money, and save for the rainy day, when you will have to jobless again, for joining in your dream-job.
