Your thoughts on homosexuality?

May 13, 2010 12:44pm CST
This has just been on the local news in my area, about gay men still been ridiculed for walking in the street holding their lovers hand, I personally found it disgusting that people still act like that in the 21st century, and for me I don't see the difference between a gay couple and a straight couple!!! Obviously I don't want to see ANYBODY gay, straight or otherwise, eating the face off each other in the street and feeling each other up, but that isn't about homosexuality, and more about people needing to realise boundries, but a kiss and hand holding in ANY relationship, I have no problem with, and find it lovely to see any couple holding hands and showing affection in the street! But what are your thoughts on the subject, today's news showed me that there are still a lot of people in the world who think it is disgusting and against nature, which I found hard to believe......

Ihonestly don't like it at all. I don't really know why, but it completely repulses me! I hate seeing homosexual people holding hands and showing affection. I don't understand why I think this way, and I know it's probably wrong, but I just can't stand it. Sorry to anybody that I have offended.

I think much of the reason that some people may feel uncomfortable with it is because it isn't something that is common yet. Up until recently and even now, in many communities it is rare to see a gay couple that are comfortable enough to hold hands in public as sad as that is. I think it you saw it all the time that you would not think twice about it.

Richnai, recently I hve been having a lot of conversations on this subject and I do see it your way now. You have just as much right as us to be with the one you love.

Homosexuality is a natural thing or shall we say it's been around us for quite a long time now. I just wonder too why some people have not yet come to terms about it or shall we say accepting the fact that there are some people who were born that way. If i happen to see two men in the street holding hands like lovers do I will just keep silent about it. I don't want to judge people because their situation is already hard and if we don't accept them the way they are they will be affected more. So if we want the world to be happy let's accept each others differences and be respectful.

For my own opinion, this kind of relationship is one's own responsibility and like all human beings they deserved to be respected too, no matter if they are scandalous in manner if we have something in our minds for me we have just rather to keep it to ourselves and not to utter words that are harming to them or just better be blind and silent, for these have been since long long time ago. It is not our problem why these relationship exists everywhere even in our own family or in our own life for all of us have been born with choices and for many reasons these kind of persons have roots of problems perhaps during childhood or merely it has been with them while growing. Hope i satisfied somehow your question my dear stephbond89.

I am not against homosexuality. They are still human so they should be treated right. Same here I don't want to see to homosexuals doing a PDA. I can't stand it. Also I don't want gays that are hitting on me.

Gay is ok to me. I don't care what people are. As long as it isn't detrimental to the rest of humanity. Honestly , I don't see why people are so narrow minded that they still see public gay affection wrong. Really? These people are so backwards. If I asked them , I bet they wouldn't be able to give me one reason why Gays shouldn't be gay besides saying that "GOD IS AGAINST IT". Didn't God put these people on the Earth? Uh...Paradox much? :) I'd also ask these people who are against GAYS , why does it hurt them if people are Gay? Racism and anti-gay is essentially the same. Both are forms of discrimination. People worldwide are against racism. Everything we say , do these days is all so sensitive to all races. We can't make one funny joke about the black man or the asian man (i'm asian) without getting called a racist. However , it's still OK to be against gays? There should be a term for people against gays. Oh-oh-oh! Here's an idea: gayist :) DON'T be GAYIST , PEOPLE! Have a good day :)

Hi Stephbond, I didn't see that on the news but I'm not at all surprised. It sickens me to hear of people treating other people like that just because they don't share the same belief system. I really don't know why people care so much about gay people. I understand the whole religious aspect of it but still that is THEIR religion for them to follow and they have no business imposing it on others.

well, what if the world was gay, full of gay, lesbians, trannys, etc, and a guy were ridiculed for walking in the street holding his girlfriends hand just because they are what they want to be, should it be right or wrong to the other peolple to judge what they doesnt think is right?
