there are times when you hit the remote and find something to watch on the television, sometimes you run to with all the channels that are available and there is nothing to watch. a good show but started half an hour ago, a television show that you wanted to watch but started half an hour ago, a movie that was running an hour ago, a music videos top ten that you saw 3 times already. a cooking show that will make you hungry har har har. so sometimes it feels that there are so many channels but you turned on the tv in a wrong time.

Haha! Yes, I do no exactly what you mean my friend. Too many channels (and repeats) but not enough time to watch everything or, like you say, we stumble across them at the wrong times.
If we had a Sky+ digibox we would be able to use a facility called Anytime which - basically, stores your favourite programmes to watch..well, anytime you feel like it. Unfortunately, we just have the basic Sky digibox which is fine but the features aren't as good as Sky+ and Sky+ HD is even better and my in-laws have that, (well, they would wouldn't they) lol.

Do you like sport? We do - especially soccer so there's always that to watch at weekends for us. Also, there's the World Cup coming up so there will be some soccer in the summertime as well lol.

i am from the philippines and the popular sports here are basketball, billiards and of course boxing. i watch a few sports but since we are not on digibox (not sure if that kind of digibox is available here too) since we are dont have a digibox that stores favorite programs then sometimes i can not follow what happened the day before. so sometimes i just put on a dvd if there is nothing to watch on tv. thanks for continuing discussing with me it was fun. exchanging ideas

that happens a lot to me. here's another scenario, you get to start a movie or a show, then you have to leave for something; say an appointment or work. and it mostly happens to me that i have to leave right around where the movie's getting good!

yes that happens to me too. you see something to watch, and watching it till it was time to go and the highlight of the movie is coming. har har har. dont you feel like bringing the tv along with you. then i have to tell my wife to text me on what happened. then when it is the time that you have all day at home that movie is not on schedule. thanks a lot for the response

Hi bird! I know how you feel and exactly what you means, there is only a few quality movies you can see on public Television nowadays, either they are repeaters or air in the wrong time of the day. As a subscriber for cable television, it is about the same except it provides more channels and more 'junks' shows to my T.V, those cable company always promise many channels in their sales publication, but most of them are just lousy programs that are boring and outright nonsense.

i will snore with you har har har. in our country they also promise more channels but if you avail the channels, you will be surprised that the extra channels are japanese channel, chinese, korea and other foreign programs speaking with their native tongues. . thanks a lot for the response

7th, switch the tv off then and write a story on wordpress, socialize here on mylot, and search old friends on facebook. You may still come up with your masterpiece and have a book published. Considering you have a lot of humor stocked up, why not scribble your jokes and funny anecdotes. You are a natural in that area.

i like watching tv no matter what programs are on.
i always make a quick view of all the channels and pick an interest one.
i do not care whether it just starts or started an hour ago. just enjoy it.
watching tv is only an relaxation.

I know! There aren't to many good shows to watch these days. Everything is all about s*e*x or violence and crap like that. no more good family sitcom comdeys. And with cable...same thing.. so much reality it is annoying. And the reruns!!! My gosh...you watch 3 new ones and then next 6 are reruns! And my husband just demanded we get MORE cable and I look...and other than some good 1970's sitcomson TVland...there's not much more else to watch!

exactly! there are not to many good shows to watch these days. the television was ruled already of reality tv shows that are not really enjoying to watch. they are only promoting violence and they can not even hold their tongue when cursing on camera. there are good reality tv shows but not all are good ones. if i demend for more channels i might be paying for more but not getting my moneys worth. thanks a lot for the response

My wife and I recently got Netflix and a DVR. This basically results in us being able to create our own viewing schedule, meaning we can almost always find something to watch. I don't know where you live, so I'm not sure if you have access to Netflix, but if you can get it, I'd highly recommend it. Also, up there you mentioned a digibix. Is it possible that that's a DVR? We really love our DVR because it means we no longer have to record off the VCR, which we were totally still doing up until a year ago.
