Yes, that is the beauty of the FA Cup. The top club meets the bottom club in the final. And what is more both teams would play without too much of pressure. For Portsmouth they have nothing to lose, and Chelsea having now won the English Premier League would feel a bit less pressure.
But talent wise no doubt Chelsea would be much much powerful than Portsmouth, but anything can happen in FA Cup and Portsmouth season could be made in this one match!!
Cheers!

I hope Portsmouth win as well, not just because I'd like to see them do one on Chelsea but I think the players deserve it after a season of massive disruption where they still showed loyalty to a club even when it struggled to pay them. Plus it would also send out a lesson to other teams that it doesn't take big money and huge marque players to win something.

Portsmouth has come a long way in the FA Cup. All the best to them, but I don't think even Avram Grant can produce a miracle against Chelsea. I bet that even Chelsea's reserve player can easily beat Portsmouth.

Hi suman,
This is a very interesting match. They were totally at opposite end. One team at the top of the table and the other is at the bottom of it. One is a very reach team and their opponent is bankrupted. One play for pride while the other play for money.
But, even though they were totally different in most aspect, I believe FA Cup final would be a very interesting match. Chelsea would go all out to win this match and trophy and make it double this season. They already have premier league title in their bag. This is an opportunity for them to exceeded what their former manager, Jose Mourinho, has done which is to win premier league and FA Cup titles in the same season. This would at least cure some wounded left by Inter Milan when they knock Chelsea out from Champion League competition.
Portsmouth also would give their best because they need the money from this competition mostly to at least lessen their club burden. Portsmouth also want to show that they were a good side and only the mismanagement of their financial aspect bring them down. Remember, Portsmouth were deducted 9 points because they were put under administration. The players also receive late salary for a few times this season.
This is the last game for Portsmouth as the premier league team (at least for a season) and they would try to give their loyal supporter something to cheer. They also would not be able to play at the European competition next season because of their financial problem, so this game would be a the last game for their fans to enjoy it as a top team.

After already wining the Premier league Chelsea are confident of
wining the F.A Cup also but they have to face a spirited Portsmouth
who had a forget full season off and on the field.

There are two contrasts with these teams. One of the richest and the poorest of clubs competing against each other in the FA Cup Final.
I sincerely hope Portsmouth win. Not only to gain much needed revenue but for the manager (who I think is awesome) and, most importantly, the LOYAL FANS!
Portsmouth is a ground I would dearly love to visit. I don't want them going out of business, that would be a disaster for football in general.
I blame Harry Redknapp the crook!! Dodgy dealings is his middle name..hate him and all that he stands for...which is...CORRUPTION!!
