What happened to the disney channel? the days when there was singing and dancing and good old fashion cartoons. Now it's all corny and full of corny kids with corny jokes. I look at my niece watching the channel most of the time and all I can do is cringe my teeth and walk away. It's so irritating now. And why does it seem as if most of the kids who start their shows on the disney channel grow up to be like adult stars and such? wassup with that?

Darkwing Duck - He is the terror that flaps in the night. He is a character that was around when Disney offered more quality programming. He is Darkwing Duck.
Disney is not what it used to be. As in, it used to be good. These days, with a couple of exceptions(that oddly enough are animated) have really taken a dip of quality. Of course, I am way outside the target audience of Disney these days. However, they have taken too much of a shine at catering to the Teenage demographic. At one time, Disney could appeal to those of all ages. From one to one hundred. These days, it has just become a show case of rubbish and things that can only appeal to the teenage demographic. Well, at least in theory, when I was a teenager, I would not be caught watching any of the "entertainment" that the Disney Channel offers these days. It is really a joke these days in many ways. At one time, Disney could appeal to a wider audience. Which in many ways is a shame. I miss the glory days of programming like Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and other quality cartoons that very little if anything can match up. Disney seems to have lost its way. It used to be fun for the entire family. These days, they only cater to that teen demographic, the ones that will buy all that tacky merchandise and justify that continued direction. It is really a vicious cycle.

Yes that's right but the time has changed.

Walt Disney has lost his influence over the board of directors. When the leader goes, with out a good replacement, then it all goes to H E double hockey sticks in a hand basket. With Appreciation.

It sure has changed. What gets me is the kids that are in their 20-30's still playing teenagers. Sponge Bob is way out there. Our kids don't need that, but are almost forced to see it, because they start out fairly decent and bam he shows up.
