If you have not watched this season's finale of Private Practice, and you have not been keeping up with this season at all, please do not read any further.
I think that out of the most recent episodes, this one was the best and it wrapped up the season well. It was to be expected that something would happen while Dell and Maya were on the way to the hospital with the baby, though I was sure it was going to be more along the lines of having to deliver the baby in the car rather than them being hit by a drunk driver.
I was a bit disappointed in that after a certain point they stopped looking at Dell as a patient and more like a coworker. Despite having a few cuts and bruises on his head, they were too busy taking care of Maya to investigate him further. When he should have been under close medical supervision, he sat in the waiting room with the rest of them and got progressively worse. If they would have caught it when he first came in he may have had a better chance, but instead they ended up losing him.
I am glad with the way that the story line ended, with friendships and relationships being mended and falling into a more natural flow. Sam and Addison are definitely meant for each other, and it was nice to find that Pete and Violet are probably going to get back together. I really like Cooper and Charlotte together so it was nice to have their relationship solidified by his proposal.
I still miss Dell, though.
What were your thoughts on the way that the season wrapped itself up?
