I can help you if you help me understand too. Smoking is a form of self-battering that also batters those who must sit by, who may occasionally joke or complain about it but helplessly watch. I sit and watch people smoke. The habit hurts them. It hurts me too. I can complain. I can make jokes. There is little I can do to change this.
