A Roundtable Discussion on Politics

Well, the table wasn't actually round.
The other day, I was invited by a friend to a victory party of a newly-elected councilor in our district, who was actually a friend of his. I was introduced to the number one councilor of our place (District 1, Valenzuela City.)
It went well, I had the opportunity to seat, eat and drink with the councilor's cousin. The moment the effects of the alcohol bothered us, we shifted our conversation into politics. Their family actually carried the NOY-MAR tandem. After all, his cousin, our councilor was a good friend of soon-to-be first lady and second district councilor Shalani Soledad (number one also, if I'm not mistaken.)
F.Y.I. I am a critic of the Aquino-Roxas bruhaha.
Well, I opted not to say anything that will ruin the night. But all the while I was feeling bottled up. Anyway, I just don't want to put a premature end to the start of a good friendship.
As the saying goes, "win an argument and lose a friend."
You know what happened the next after...
The hangover was heavy. Grr..
I haven't had that good of a drink for months and I was literally knocked out the day after. I just lost a twelve dollar online writing assignment.
Twelve dollars is a hefty amount if you'll ask me. That's roughly around 540 pesos!!
Damn!!
As always,
Louie

I'd like to congratulate you for 'holding your urge in' hehe. You really took control of yourself and ended with another friend on your list. As for politics, I really don't wanna think about it right now. I just want to hope for the best.
