Make sure you go through and clean everything well. Once your cleaning is complete go to the store and get Boric Acid Powder (Roach Powder). This usually comes in a 1 lb puffer bottle. Put it along your baseboards, behind your refigerator, behind your toilet bowl, and any other place that may be dark and cool. They will track through the boric acid and take it back to their nesting site. Once they have it on them it will kill them and also any others that pick it up off of them in the nesting site.

this happened to me too back then, just cleaning your apt regularly, and also using insecticides will keep them away.

I use Roach proof dust. You can buy it at any hardware store. It also helps with spiders and things. You just sprinkle it along baseboards and things.

Hi, macdingolinger. If I were you, I would ask the landlord when was the last time that your apartment was exterminated. Inform them about the bugs. If they are water bugs, you know that this is beyond your control. These come from outside, where it is humid and moist. They are kind of like crickets, but only roaches. I used to get these nasty critters into my trailer. I could not stand going into my bedroom at night. I would see these things and become so disgusted. In the meantime, you can also try buying an insect repellent device. This device wards off any pests, like mice, roaches and pesky insects. I know that many health catalogs sell these for a great price. Like the Walter Drake catalog... Continue to keep your apartment clean so that you can keep the pests down. Contact your landlord. I hope that they will suggest getting an exterminator to come, instead of just telling you to purchase some cheap roach spray. Which may not always be the best solution to this problem.

Sprinkle boric acid in places that others can't see. This should do the job. I would make sure its put in every room of the house. This did the job for me many moons ago when I lived in a garden apartment. Good luck and hope this works for you.
