Rent a room - Tourist Overnight Bed and Breakfast

I clicked on an ad on Facebook or a company called flybnb.com Essentially, they are trying to offer tourists the chance to stay with local people, meet genuine indigenous people instead of the brylcream brigade you find in hotels. I put an ad on their site to let one of my spare bedrooms to visitors to my city. I think it is designed mainly to appeal to Americans, the company are based in California. Has anyone any experience or thoughts on this?
