In my position as part of the customer service department, I encountered lots of customer lied just to prove that they don't made a mistake. Did they don't think that they deceived people like them and not the company just to show that they were right? For me, as part of being professional you should know how to accept your fault because it's not a big deal. Maybe you loose your pride but not your respect.

These customers think that CSRs don't have a mind of their own. From the first word that comes out from their mouth a CSR would know if they're telling the truth or not. that's how a CSR would be dealing with them.

Yes I think you R Right. I work in a Telecom Company. I am not from CSR. I am work in other depertment. Some of our coustomer comes to our office and give some complaint against our service. But when we check thier problem we see it faulty from the coustomer. He is active some service and pay some money against the service. I saw one thinks that 70% complainer are betwen 50 and above age.

Well, even if the customer din lie, company will always be adopting this policy, "Customer is always right".. haha =D I have seen many of such cases, and i'm already immune to it.. WHatever the customer wanna say, just let them say.. As long as i'm in uniform, there's nothing much i can say or do to defend myself.. BUt once i'm out of uniform, it will be a different thing already.. lol =D

Hi, ptzkoh Yes, they do lie. They figure that since they are customers that they are always right. But that is not so very true. Customers can be very misleading. Some customers think that they will be able to get away with murder, but in the end they won't.

Oh I KNOW some of our customer's lie. Or I should say our "pretend" cutomers lie. We have a group of women who steal from us on a regular basis. Then they return the stolen merchandise to get a store credit. We KNOW these women, see them come in the store and try to watch them, but we are forbidden to accuse them of stealing. It makes me sick when they come up with a bunch of stolen wedding stuff to return and say, "I lost the receipt." Yeah, this one and every one before it too. Yeah.....right.

I don't know if our customers/clients lie but I know some of our coworkers lie. I'm in IT department in a financial company. We are dependent on different teams to function well like the group that handles data related stuffs, the group that maintain our servers, etc. When a problem occurred and its their fault sometimes they do not accept it and made different reasons or they already fixed the problems and told us nothing is wrong. I don't know why its hard for them to accept their mistake.
