I need to download some new music onto my MP3 player, but have absolutely no idea what songs I want. I know I need some energizing music to listen to while I work out, but the songs I hear all the time are the ones I'm getting tired of and they don't energize me anymore.
So what's your favorite song to listen to while you're working out? What song energizes you?
The first song I'm going to download is the newest Black Eyed Peas song.. Rock Your Body I believe is the name of it... sounds like a duet with the chipmunks, lol!

Metallica - Fuel always gets me energized and Pink- So What. Also Lady Gaga has some good songs to get you moving. I listen to heavy metal for an intense and high energy workout and lean toward pop music for a slower or more relaxed workout.

Any song which is popular and sounds good can energize me. But today songs are remixed from old one and they are better from past. i myself want to compose a song. its upto my mood which decides for the song.

Well, a couple of songs by Pink are always energetic. So What is definitely a good one to get me up and moving. So is Bad Romance from Lady GaGa, Uprising from Muse, and to get a little country in there, also Cheatin' On My H*nky Tonk from Trent Tomlinson. Try listening to that one and not laughing. I also like some Christian music, so I have the "old throwback" Jesus Freak from DC Talk on my ipod.
Why the * for H*nky Tonk? Mylot wouldn't let me submit it without the *. I guess they think h o n k y is a racist term for white people.

well how about some of Little Al..i think thats the name. i liked his song lollipop i think because my granddaughter used to play it and dance to it. most rap i dont like but i thought that one was just "poppy" enough to hear. except, they have a nasty version and a fairly cleaned up version.

Hey kats! I love that song and every song on that CD! I am a big
fan of Black Eyed Peas! And that "chipmonk sound" is the "autotune"
that alot of the rap artists use and I love it! One day my bf
came home and found me dancing my azz off to that CD in my
kitchen/office! He just walked in and looked at me, and walked
into the bedroom! You can really get a workout from that whole
CD! You should check it out! I also love the Rhianna CD, although
it isn't for "little ears", at least the "unedited version"!lol

I usually watch TV when working out so I can catch up on the British News whilst walking on the wii. However if I really want to feel energized then give me good old rock and roller - MISS TINA TURNER - preferably singing 'Rolling Down The River'.
When I feel a bit low then I put on this cd in my car and I sing along and bounce in the seat whilst singing and perhaps the odd shake of the shoulders. Thinks:Perhaps this is why the police frequently stop me?

That is a good, upbeat song!
I bet you'd like "You Can't Stop The Beat" from the Hairspray musical... that one used to have me dancing around the house.. but I've listened to it so much I'm worn out on it.
Here's that song on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovLKUoMqPSg

Dancing in September by Earth, Wind and Fire is the song that I play the most when I want to burn calories. Whenever I hear that song, I can't seem to stop dancing and I don't get tired that easily. I play that song whenever I'm down. Afterwards, my mood changes instantly.

I so seldom listen to music, I do not know what current music sounds like. I listen to oldies stations. To that end I find things by Donna Summer good, and lots of disco music. I am not sure that would work for everyone, thougn..

No disco certainly doesn't work for everyone.. I'm more into current pop and hip hop. But it always depends on the day and the mood, you know.

The song that energizes me are songs from the 80's. I was born in the 80's so the song from Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Rick Springfield and Bruce Springfield, Michael Jackson, Hall and Oates, James Taylor, Culture Club, Spandau Ballet and the like are the songs that energizes me. I am more on the new wave stuff. I like reminiscin. when the song like that is being played it brings me back to the 80's where my life is easy merely because I am young then. I love everything about the 80's. I want to live again there.

Working out?
Actually when I went to a gym, I just listened to whatever they were playing or watched their TV. When I walk, I look at my surroundings. Music is not a bad idea, I just have never done it.

My gym doesn't play music in their main cardio room, which is where I usually go when I don't have a class. The downstairs, smaller cardio room has music, but it's not always good, and one day I heard one of those songs that makes me cry.. reminded me of my foster mom. In the main cardio room they have TV's, but they're all muted and usually not worth watching anyways. The music helps the hour long runs go by faster, and sometimes I'll have a book or magazine as well.

I like it more when im listening to pop music or sometimes techno music too for as long as the upbeat is good then i like listening to that kind of song.I also have this habit of listening to rock music or even the kind of music that i dont even understand the lyrics like japanese songs. For as long as the tune is catchy i like listening to those kinds of stuff ;)

I love to work out to upbeat music. My favorite CD that I can play all the way through during my workout it Beyonce's B-Day CD. Its just all fast upbeat music so It keeps me going. I know the Black eyes peas are to same type of music so you should be good and energized with that. Good luck
