Do you remember the funnest way to cool off when you were a kid during the summer time?
I was shopping for a small pool for my five year old and although I picked up a decent size pool for her and her little friends, I aslo purchase a slip and slide! I haven't used one of those since I was 12 years old... Which was 22 years ago!
As kids, we always had access to the base pool, our little pool, sprinklers, the lake and slip and slide... however the slip and slide was the funnest of all options.
How about you? Any fond memories of cooling off during the summers as a kid?

Ha! I wasn't privileged enough to have a slip and slide or a little pool. We were lucky to have water !
We lived in the country and had a few neighbor kids, they lived about 5 miles away.... but we would all get together and go to a stock pond and swim in that murky water and we made rope swings hung from tall cottonwood trees to swing across the water and yell "tarzan" and jump into the water LOL
That is my memories.

Hey cmjune76,
When i was younger, the pool in my house was not completed but really a large ditch. So, my dad used to take us to the beach for about 5 summers. At the beach we used to sleep in a caravan, it used to be quite fun but the mosquitoes - zomg. Anyways, the rest of the summers i spend them swimming in a blow up pool and riding my go cart with my water pistol sort of 'mounted' to it. Ahh, it used to be really fun. Well, those are just memories, now i have a pool :P.
Have a good day, borg246

We had a blow up pool. During summer, my parents would set it up at the backyard and we'D be swimming all day there. Even if the pool was only a few feet deep, it was the best way of having fun and cooling off during summer.
