I have my aunts laptop that she let a friend work on and for some odd reason it takes more than 2 hours to start-up and it took 1 hour to shut down. Now I tried the website but there was no response to my answer. Here is my dilemma the error code is as follows: checking file system C: the type of file system is NTFS. One of your disk s needs to be checked for consistency. You may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended that you continue. Now when you press enter when the screen turns blue and the error message appears it starts up in about 15 mins but it takes 1 hour and 1/2 to shut down. Now, if you let the system do the check it can take about 3 hours to start. So, you are in a win win situation. Are there any suggestions on how to get rid of this error????

Usually, this error occurs whenever you had an unexpected or accidental shutdown. Check Disk will perform a scan on your system, it is recommended you do this. It does not take long to finish. However, if your system takes that long to start up and shutdown, I suggest you do a reformat or take it to the technician. There might be something wrong with your system or hardwares. Happy mylotting! ;)

Even one of my friend faced the same problem. And after some days his system was not able to load the os itself. Then i tried to format his pc but the hard disk was not able get formatted. Then i concluded that his hard disk is scrap... He got a new hard disk..
Now his PC is working fine...
