This year lots of natural disaster happening throughout the world. The bad winter, flood, the earthquakes, then the volcano. Also we went through lots of man made disaster, like the oils spill in the golf of Mexico, different plain crash and God knows what else coming.
When you think this kind of lots of bad things going on do you sometime think like may be the world is coming to an end? May be the movie "2012" is going to be true?
Personally I don't believe that that world is going to end this soon, but I get scared to get caught on that kind of disaster. So, I really hope that I don't need to go through any natural or man made disaster.
What is your thought on this?

The world isn't going to end...not in 2012 anyways. Just like it didn't end with the Y2K. It's just an inconceivable idea for the world to suddenly end one day. For earthquakes to tear about the whole world and hurricanes, etc, etc. That 2012 movie was just to cultivate this fear of worldwide catastrophe , in order to make some money. It would scare all of us , if we knew for certain the world would end on a certain day but since there isn't a set/proven date: all these predictions just make me laugh. HA-HA!
Perhaps those of you who are scared of 2012 should check this site out:

Come on people. Who really believes this end of world BS? .

Yea I remember the Y2K crap. Then I didn't believe it and knew that the world wasn't gonna end but 2012 that really gives me the creeps. The experiments those scientists are conducting with the particle-collider. Makes me think of Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code. What if the earth gets sucked in. I know sounds a bit morbid but I can't push the feeling away. And the Mayan calender , they were highly intelligent people especially for their time!! Just opened the 2012hoax.org site. Let me go through it and clear my doubts ;-)

It's really scary to think about what's gonna possibly happen when the world ends. It's undeniable. When I get to think about it and worry for me and for my family, I pray to God that whatever his plans are for us, we will be able to accept it with humility and submit ourselves to him. We don't have any control over what's gonna happen. All we have to do is be prepared all the time.

I understand that we have to accept whatever going to happen. But I think we should be responsible for whatever we do, so that we don't hurt our mother nature.

It is scary if you really think about it. I don't know if 2012 is true, but we won't know until then.

Hi Sweetlady
I try not to think about it, I see it on the News, yes we where affected by the Volcano Cloud but to me these sort of things have been going on for years now
I do not think it is the end of the World to be honest, it is new yes but just think of the Scientist, that keep knocking things, also the Global Warming and lots of other things that have build up over many years
It does not scare me, it used to yes, but no I take every Day as it comes now

i believe that there's so called end of the world. It's just that we don't know yet when it will happens. Those disasters were the effects of what people do with the nature. For now i don't think of end of the world. Instead enjoy things in a right way.

I agree that whats going on with nature is because of us only. We need to take care of it, and enjoy the world.

I really think technology has made us more aware of disasters than before. I know we have always had disasters just not as publicized. Anyways scared thinking about it?? No. I just live day to day with optimism. But of course if I were in a disaster i would probably be scared. And if the end of the world ever happens i hope i go quickly without even having a chance to think about it or suffering.

Hi sweetlady10. Yes. I do get scared. I don't even like when this is mentioned. It creeps me out. I don't want to believe any of this stuff. I try not to think about it. But I can only hope that things will not be this way. I wished that we did not have to experience any natural or man made disasters too.

Bring on 2012 that is what I say. I don't believe a word of it. Natural disasters are just that "natural" The sooner 2012 comes the better then we will here less of all the hyped scare mongering talk about it.
If it does happen to be true then at least I know on New Years Eve 2011 I will have front row seats to the best event ever. Not often that something like this happens

Thoughts of the end of the world are a frightening aspect. There is so much uncertainty. It is the fear of the unknown that can hold us the strongest. We don't know what tomorrow will bring. it can be difficult to deal with.

Thinking about it really scared lots of people but nobody know what might happen, and beside those disasters that are happening today, I think we should not be so worried about it since this is not the first time it happened even the old days they also suffer different tragedies, right? Worst that we have now.

Hey Sweetlady. I feel the same. Its kinda scary, there are a lot of natural disasters happening in the past few years which makes you wonder if the world is actually gonna end in 2012. I had a chain email of 7facts about why the world will end in 2012 supported by scientific studies. You can't dismiss those facts as rubbish though a lot of critics will contest against it. It seems kinda true to me and I had goose bumps while reading it. Also watching the movie 2012 gave me a sorta deja vu feeling cause I always dream of tsunamis and one particular scene in the movie of the tidal wave freaked me out cause it was so similar to the one in my dream!!! Gave me the creeps!! You can't ignore the facts- the earthquakes , volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, wars(that's man made but still destructive) and god-knows what else is coming our way!!
