Hey mylotters,
Everyone watches movies in their life. Some people, like me, watch much more. In fact, i have watched thousand's of movies right now. I am more like a sci-fi, action sort of fan. I like the appearance of high tech gadgets and i love guns and explosions. Tipical Michael Bay typo movies, like Bad Boy's 1 and 2 and Transformers.
I also like those 'remake' films i call them; mainly scary move 1,2,3,4,5 - all the franchise is hilarious! :)
So, mylotters, what's your favorite movie?

I think I do not have the best movie that I ever watched but I have lots of movies which are uncomparable. I like Sister Act, Dream Girls, The Land Before Time, or other musical and Walt Disney Movies. I like also Horror Movies like The Grudge and The Ring especially the Japanese Version. Those were some of my favorite movies I have watched but not the best movies I have known. Thank you.

I think Disney's "Cars" was the best movie that I have watched so far..I like both the animation and the story..I like the story because it teaches us not to be self-centered..We can't do everything by ourselves..One way or another, we really are going to need help from others..And when we get that help, we should always remember to thank the one who helped us..
I also like the idea that winning isn't everything..In the movie, they said that the "Piston Cup" (the trophy/prize) is just an empty cup..There are other forms of victory.."Lightning McQueen", the main character in the movie, is a victor because he had won over his previous self..He was able to remove his self-centeredness and other negative attitudes as well.."Chick", one of the racers, got the Piston Cup but the other cars didn't like him because he played dirty..In the end, they cheered up for Lightning McQueen because for them, he is really the winner..

The best movie I've ever watched was Pearl Harbor starring Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett. It's a World War II story that has something for everyone, in that it has action, adventure, and romance.

...Hi borg246, I have to say that there are two movies that I could watch over and over again. One movie is Chariots of Fire and the other is Love Actually. I think Chariots of Fire may have been based on a true story, I saw it first in the theater and almost everyone in the place was crying or tearing up during the film, even the guy sitting next to me. It was such an inspiring movie. Love Actually was the cutest movie. A couple was getting married in beginning and their practical joker friend, who happened to be in love with the bride to be, had musicians through out the church and during the ceremony groups of them stood up and started to play "All You Need is Love", while a choir was unveiled on the balcony singing with the orchestra. Wonderful. So those are my two. I love good movies. Take care.

My favourite movies are the ones i can watch again and again and see something new in them. My personal favourite is American Beauty, i just love the mum and the way there are no small characters. I also love period pieces, the stage where you start really noticing the small details of the surroundings is amazing. I'll go with the many here and add the Matrix to the list too, and Howls moving castle.
I don't think i could limit my cinematic experience to the 'best' movie i ever saw, but the best place i ever saw a movie is easy. it was abroad with a bunch of mentally challanged young adults, a couple of students and me - the only native english speaker. the cinema was tiny and it was a horrific romcom film with poor acting and subtitles over spoken english. They tried to be funny but every memeber of the audience laughed at different times, some with a basic understanding of the english, some with the translation, some jokes only i got, and others realised it should be funny and so laughed as we stopped laughing, or completly randomly. It was so unforgetable.

Wow, it's kind of hard to narrow down, but a really good movie to me must have a very good and interesting story line, not lasting too long. It must make me laugh, cry, feel empathy and sympathy. It has to really move me. Well, to answer your question, i would have to go with "Waiting to Exhale", "Diary of a Mad Black Woman", "An Officer and a Gentleman" & "Pretty Woman". I can't dare leave out "Working Nine to Five".

My favourite is one most of you have probably never seen. the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, just for the music and the one big scene.

I love The Notebook, a romance movie, although I'm not really into romance myself. I just think it's one of the best. One movie I will always mention is Catch Me If You Can starring Leonardo Decaprio? It's really fun and interesting. But I remember there was this one movie I always watched when I was a kid. I think I watched it for five times or so I memorized some of the lines. Independence Day with Will Smith. :))

haha. I like the movies describing Victorian period best. Maybe it is because I am an English major, and I like to read English literatures. In my eyes, I really like Jane Austen' works, such as Pride and Prejudice,Sence and Sensibility. The movie, Becoming Jane, helps me to know more about Jane, and it seems to take me back to that period. If I can truely went to that period, I tell myself that I will marry her.haha
