I am without a computer, so I'm using my iPod Tough for all of my surfing needs. I watched. YouTube video from an email, and forwarded it. My iPod froze, so I tried to turn it off. I got the glowing Apple that I usually get when I turned it on, and nothing else. It wouldn't turn on or off. It was like the blue screen of death for Windows users. After five minutes it came back to life with the globe graphic, and slide to unlock. Now everything is normal, thank God!! What just happened, and what was it doing sitting it's downtime? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Hi, I think that the other person gave you a pretty good idea of what to do if the iTouch freezes up again. I would try a soft restart and this may clear the computer. A little tougher to do is to do a complete restart to factory settings, hopping you have backed up the important things with your computer.Setting a new iphone may take 10 minutes to set up.With people jailbreaking both itouch and iPhone,, are there problems having your device jailbreaked and later the phone company messing it up. I would like to get my iPhone jailbreaked again, preferrably by a computer user who has a bit of this type work. My number is 431-8344 here in Erie. Please give me a call lettingme know you can work on it and the price. I did jailbreaks before but I think the level of work to get it up running if you or anyone you know would like to help steer my phone away from the darkside of Apple's holdI . Michael Melquistt 431-8344. I would be happy if someone will really help me. This is hard activities to me but simpleto you and pressing me.

My friend is using it. She says that there is no problem by it. You better check up with the person who sold it to you.

Well, nothing of that sort has happened to me. I am an iPod Touch user and after reading this discussion of yours, I tried doing that. I saw a YouTube video and tried sending it as a mail and nothing happened of that sort. Well, I think your iPod must have been overloaded but the device is a strong one with codings from Linux and so, it does not die easily like the XBOX. If this ever happens to you again, plug your iPod Touch in your computer. Hold, the Home and Power Button consecutively for 10 seconds and then, leave the power button and keep on pressing the Home Button for sometime until you get the message that iTunes has found an iPod in recovery mode. Then search for the ipsw firmware of your iPod and then, you have a brand new iPod Touch without anything in it. Next, restore the backed up files into the iPod and there you go.
