Is this world still a place for INNOCENT people??

India

Well, this world has developed into a sphere of technologies that dominate the humans. People are no longer themselves, they are being transformed into machines. And, for people who are innocent, for example the aged ones, I think the world is not exactly theirs. Money is the root cause of all evils. So, everyone goes towards money instead of respect and humanity, dignity. Innocent people are not only simpletons but also the people who cannot catch up with the pace of development of the world and the ones who just stare at the developments in awe. Innocent people can get cheated easily and with the increase in development, the negative traits in humans also increases. So, until there are innocent people, there will e cheaters who fool them. What do ya think???

This is a world for potentially innocent people. We are all born innocent, but from that point we learn stuff that could be regarded as non-innocent, but at any given time we can let go of all the pursuit for wealth and power, let go of the past and future and be here in the present. There are many Zen monks for instance, who have renounced desire from a very young age and look for nothing. With the spiritually strong monks, if someobody cheats them, they quicly let it go. Not they have anything worth taking by others though! They see this as crazy behaviour, or maybe not, because they tend not to judge anyway. There are many westerners who have over the years, have gone to live in Zen temples and renounced the materialism of the world. I think it take great courage to do this, but of course once you are going something, what is courage anyway? _Derek

There are no innocent people, and there never were any, and there never will be any. Money is not the root of all evils. The love of money, is the root of all evils. There is a difference. A impoverished guy who envies and greedily wants money, is being evil. A millionaire who simply wants to serve meals at a restaurant, is simply providing a service people want, and it is making him wealthy in the process. That's not evil.

Did you ever see a parent teaching a child to lie? To hit? To take things from others? To hide what they stole? To disobey their parents? Nope. It's natural evil, and humans are born with it.

You are wrong. It is not natural evil. It is the evilness that prevails in the society. If everyone is kind to the child and no one does a bad action in front of it, the child will never do one until it goes through one.

There are innocent people - everyone is born innocent. Do you think a baby will know that bribery is common in governments?

The contention cannot be carried far too much. The world that we live in is infested with fellowmen who have little consideration for their counterparts. Innocense is only a faulty notion shown externally.

Innocence can never last, my friend and it is a virtue. Fellowmen have no consideration, humanity, dignity nowadays. Leave alone the counterparts. When they do not have self-respect, how do you expect them to respect others???

I know this has nothing to do with your discussion but unfortunately this is a world for the guilty also..... I live in a small town and if I did half of some of the things others did I would be looking at four walls for at least a year..... Justice does not work for everyone..... The ones who need to put away get by with everything..... Tuesday is election day where I live and I hope we get some people in our justice system (sheriff, DA and so on) that work our county according to the law and not let the guilty off.

According to me, the world is for everyone. It is diversity in people that makes the world a better place to live in. Yes it is true that life is so mechnical now. But all of us have our dreams and aspirations which we try to meet. You may see at the negatives in life but sometimes the world is what you make of it.

Yes, Each of us try to do something and when we end up failing in it, we do not bother to rectify the error and try again. We want to find a shortcut that can lead us to victory.

We just have to adapt to the world as it changes but somehow I wish as we changed we wont forget the basic or where we were before the change had commenced. We are all innocent in some points in our life and yes there have been many who tried to fool us, who succeeded and failed. It's okay to be innocent in this world we just have to be smart in anything we do so we cannot be fooled by people who might take advantage of our innocence

That is what everyone says including me. This world is fast changing, if you fail to compete in the race, you will be equal to the broken egg. Everyone will stamp you and run.

Hi kar! You have rightly said that his world is no more for innocent people. Technologies are changing and life is becoming very fast. No one has the time to sit with others, everyone is participating in the rat race. In the process, human values, love and affection are taking back seat.

First of all money is not the root of all evils, it is the people. who are doing everything even killings that are evils. Money is just a material thing, it do not speak nor do not move and stab you. People who praise money as God is the one doing the evil things. About innocent people can be cheated, they can be cheated or can't be. It really depends on the people they will meet that have bad manners and bad decision that will use them for evil doings are the culprit. There is a place for innocent people if people will treat them nice. Innocent people can also know modern technology, if there is someone who will have a knowledge for it and willing to teach them there will be no problem. Sometimes innocent people itself fear the new technology because for them it is difficult to learn, but in reality is it not.

Money is a material - I agree. But, I think,, these materialistic things are overshadowing the human dignity, nature and love.

hi kar295rocks all of what you said is true to some extent but not all elderly innocent people are also stupid, I have learned a lot over the years with using my computer and monitor and now am not so easily fooled by cheaters. A lot of those cheating people do prey on people my age so I have learned to be very suspicious when being blah blahed to by a door to door sales person. But I do think I heard my parents back in the 1930's and 1940's say much the same thing, of course technology is now far advanced but the same worries are still here, only more so perhaps. but nobody ever promised us a rose garden. So yes I do think there is still a place in this world for innocent people as long as innocent does not also mean stupid.A lot of mylotters are going to say she is naive, a romantic etc etc. but respect my viewpoint as I will respect all of yours.

hi kar295rocks Ihave seen some of my friends taken by crooked sales people as they were just too trusting. I do not trust anyone selling 'door to door now. when I was a young mom my husband a pushover for any door to door salesman bought this wonderful dining table play table etc. for a tot, with a non breakable dish that the man guaranteed would not break and could notbe tossed off by the toddler. well news for him we had it for four days during which the seams pulled apart on the things, the rubber feet fell off and the wonder e ating dish that a toddler could not move , well my year old son not only moved it but he tossed the unbreakable dish onto the floor and the unbreakable dish split apart into twenty or thirty pieces. When the salesperson came to get the final payment I had all the piecesof that junk assembled into a box along with the unbreakable pieces of the dish and also a lady representative from the local better business bureau. I got our money back that we had paid for it plus the amount that was still due, as the lady stood over the y oung salesman until he made out a check.and the lady said that had better not bounce. well thank goodness it did not bounce. I never bought anything from the door to door sales people but my husband did. lol.

Stupid will never be my word for elderly ones. As I told you, Innocent people are the ones who just see the development of the world in awe without catching up with it. You have caught up with it - you have been meddling around with the PC. So, you are not an innocent one in this racing world. You also said rightly that innocent does not mean stupid. I respect everyone's point of view and I have a greater respect for yours.

God is watching everybody and those cheaters do not realize that. But, you see, they try to cheat people even when they know that they are going to repent for it. It is like going to an electric wire and touching it yourself.

Oh yes, I can imagine how those ancient people live their lives without the use of technology. I think they were lucky enough as they lived as what God wants them to be and not the idea that the world was not exactly theirs. I think it is now - our generation that the world is not exactly ours because of machines as you have been touted firstly. But if we think the way we feel and think changes as the world changes constantly I don't think so.

I feel the place is good for innocent people because it mirrors humanity. When something happens to an innocent person, it makes us wiser. I say this because many people in power try to make this a "dog eat dog" world. That means that in some point in time, we all are innocent of something and somone tries to take advantage of us. Some of us innocent people learn when we see unjust things happening to other innocent people. Older people are taken advantage of unless they have loving relatives or they have kept themselves sharp in mind. I know some older people in their eighties and nineties who are still sharper in mentality than many younger persons. Again, we can learn from them. Sad to say, those who do not learn from the failings of others will likely be the targets of bad people.

The world is constanly evolving, along with the people in it . And as we see, there are many negative effects on people. The things that adults do back then can be done by teenagers or teenagers are now doing.

There's no such thing as evolution, but there is one thing that is true is that the human race has created another from the human race, and that's the greedy race. Money is their weapons of mass destruction, and only the strong survive. The rich usually give to charity for the tax write off, and will hardly see any give without some recognition or payback. The people who I see helping others are from christian based backgrounds and send anonymous money to people in need. I my self receive a card most every month with about $50 inside with the inscription " Jesus loves you and so do we" and they do well to conceal who it is from. It takes special people who know that giving to others in need, creates giving moods to others when they hear of tales like this. And the bible even says that he who gives, receives tenfold, and I have found that this is also true, as I have received more then tenfold after I have given to anyone who I see that have a need, I will just go and give assistance that I can give, even if it will take from myself.

Education is the only key. Educating the people to understand what is going on and how are we going to end up in this world helps a lot. nothing much can help over this problem but educate the people.
• India

Education is also a way. But, you see, even if one is educated, equal chances are there that he will be innocent!

Innocents being exploited by those who are tech savvy could take place. But i feel there should be people who explain to the innocents that they are being taken for a ride. As far as exploiting the aged and the young are concerned those who exploit ought to dealt with severely as they are the scum of the earth.Just as there are e cheaters who will fool the innocents so are there e. authorities who ought to stop them.

Just going back a couple of decades back proves to be the best part of life when every one was trust worthy and life was running with peace and love. These days every one became greedy for money which is the main cause of the world getting spoiled. And for money the most educated and matured person is also going to several wrong things. Innocent people are truth loving people who are the real sufferers in this world at present. - Very bad and hurting to comment.

No world is no more a good place for innocent ones. They will cheat and do whatever they can to make you fool and extract money outta you. No ethics issues, they just ignore it! But still the rule is nothing is pure bad nor is pure good...so by that rule there are still lot of people who care for others
• India

Exactly. If a rich fellow is innocent, there will be many who will try to juice out his money and then desert him.
