No, I wouldn't change my religion, although I am free to do that at any time I wish, as are most people. I understand there are those who would be killed or ostracized if they went against their parents or their nation's religion. Here in the US, at least for now, we are free to believe what we will without interference. I am a Christian and I don't believe there is safety or life in any other belief.

yeah, you know it for sure- i also know about some riligions/believes where people really get killed if they try to change the religion and they even get killed on the street in front of the people passing by without any consequnces. I guess that we all should be free to change it at any time we want, but I also guiess that i willnever change it too!

well, I guess that in some "free thinking" countries they are, but there are also many places where people are like religion slaves, and as far as I know( i don't want to insult anybody) these are some of the Muslim countries!

I don´t have a religion although I respect other people´s beliefs. I don´t usually like to belong to churches, political partys or anything where I have to give up my beliefs to accomodate to the mayority.
Take care!

well, then you are an atheist, aren't you? There is really nothing wrong with it and I have never judge people because of that they don't have any religion. i myself have been in a doubt about it, does God really exist and do I really believe in him, and have felt like an atheist many times. But it is really nice from you that although you don't have any religion you still erspect other people's religions, because it is really important to do that, just because we are all human and we need to respect the opinion of the others

I don´t call myself an atheist. I think the best word would be agnostic. There are questions about the trascendental for which I know I´m not capable of giving answers. Some people call God to all that, but I also see that many of them despise other people´s approach to the same problem. I´m content with being part of life. And feel no less, no more than an ant or a leaf in a tree.

hell0 Laglen!
yeah, i also think that all the people should change their believes/religion when they want it, but I have heard abot some places where people are so extremely religious that if someone tries to change his/her religion they lynch him/heron the street and treat it like a tripe. I guess that the most of the people are really satisfied with their religions, but there are some people who change it, because of their spouses.

i was born a catholic and grew up as catholic. all the people around me are catholic, and i even married a catholic. and yes, religion is not the thing that will save us but our relationship with HIM. but i believe, religion is one that guides us to have a better relationship with HIM so i changed religion.

well, guess that I will marry a Christian girl too, because there are actually not many people here with other religions, but I am actually not that religious and I actually don't know too, what will make my relationship with God stronger!

I never really thought about changing religions. I was raised a Catholic andI guess that is what I still am. I don't often go to church If I did change it would probably be because a lot of the rules are man made and they change them all the time. Also I don't like all the controversy about the priests and the alter boys. If I did change I don't really know what I would change to.

The cerebellum is the base part of your brain. It controls balance and a lot of other things. Messages from your brain have to go through the cerebellum to get to most parts of the body. Mine isn't working right, and they are not sure why. I don't really know why I chose that as my name. I sometimes regret it but feel it would be to much hassel to change it at this point.

hell0 Cerebellum!( what exactly does this name mean?)
yeah, some times priests are actaully the ones that make us to quit with religion or just to change it, and I still remember some example that someone has given here in some other discussion about religion, how priests in church have always have some doubts and quarrels with each other, and how they violated all the church rules. I have also never thought about changing religion :)

Oh, yes I do. But, I think it is sometimes I feel trapped in this church I go to. I am not happy. A part of me would like to find a way. And, on the other hand, I figure something would happen eventually where I wouldn't be associated with it anymore. Right now, I'm just waiting for the right time I guess. And, I believe in a God or a higher being. But, it is just the whole church organizational thing. And, if I could choose it would be Wicca or a hybrid of Christianity and Paganism. There are some aspects I like out of each one. And to some extent paganism did influence some of the christian customs. Like, with Christmas, for example. Just that people were believed that one was wrong and another was right.

hell0 Steinway. ( I like your nickname- it is a mixure between German and English, right?)
well, I think that if you don't feel satisfied and happy with your present religion you should realy change it, but as you tell, you may get kicked from the community, just because of it, but i guess that it can only happen if all the community is really religious, right? and what is your current religion?
maybe you should really take some time to figure it out, because it is something that can have some great consequences!

I only believe in what I believe in and not necessarly belong to any religion. I do call myself a Christian, though. Like lots of other people it took along time to fine my "religion"! I don't believe everything I was thought in church and school. After getting out in the world, meeting people of different religions and getting opinions on their beliefs I came to my own conclusion. I was a Lutheran now I am just a Christian!

well, I guess that I am also a Christian, although that I don't go in church( only 2-3 times per year), although I don't pray, but I have also never told that I am an atheist or have some other religion. well, I guess that I will never change it too, just because religion is actually something that i think is not that important to me. maybe I am a blasphemer, but that's the way I feel it. I have always respected people who believe in God and go to church every week and I think it is great, but I just can't do it!
