how far can you keep a friends?..if only i can count all my friends from my pre-school time, maybe im the happiest person in the world, but maybe only one-third of them are with me now and not always there for and me for them...how you tell your friends that actually you dont like his/her breath?..something like that without losing him/her?

I have only one in person friend (I am not counting friends I have met online just in person) mainly due to the fact I am ridiculously shy. But I can quite happily say that neither of us would have any problems telling each other if our breath stank or anything of that sort without it damaging the friendship.
My policy is simple. If a friend asks a question that they won't like the answer to I respond with truth or diplomacy. They have the option of a social white lie or of the truth. If after that (presuming you were not mean, rude or vicious about it) it costs you their friendship, they were never really your friends to begin with.
Their is a huge difference between friend and acquaintance.

hi,personally i think make friends is very easy, but keep the good relationship with your friends is difficult,i had a lot of friends in primary school, but now many years later i just know few of them, maybe we did not contact with each other, the inital intimate relationship does not exit, sometimes i feel sorry about that,so if u want long-term friends u both parties have to make efforts to keep it.

You can keep lots of friends. Thanks to Facebook, I stay in touch with most of my friends from elementary, middle school and high school. What is so crazy? Some of them are now parents and successful people. We meet up every now and then.
