Technology nowadays is becoming even better. It is replacing old ones like the telephone. Do you guys still own a telephone at home or has mobile phones replace them?
Which do you prefer to use? Telephones are paid monthly and you get unlimited calls. Mobile phones are also paid monthly but the bill varies depending on your call and text usage.

I can't choose where both of them are still important to us. We can use the landline for our home which we can talk to other people for a long long time or even whole day. The advantage of that is at least the signal is clear most of the time. Unlike in mobile phones it can be choppy then at times it has a tendency to disconnect while you are talking with other people.

WE do not have a landline phones. We have that one before but we cutted it since it is no use. All of the family member have cellphones. We can contact everyone by cellphone.I am the one who provide a load for my family. I make sure they always have a load for in case of emergency. However if you have a business it is good when you have landlines and also share your cellphone numbers.

I got rid of my landline phone a while ago. I don't need to be paying two bills when my cell phone is all I need. Most people who I know call me on it anyway. So why pay for a phone that I don't use? Or pay for something that restricts me to a limited area? So I don't bother with that kind of stuff. I pay one bill for two phones that can be used almost anywhere with no hidden fees because I chose how I use it.

we no longer have a landline or a telephone at home, and we just rely on mobile phones when communicating. However, if we do get a fixed landline, then most likely we will get the wireless landline so that we can take the phone anywhere as well. yes, technology is really running really fast in coming up with gadgets that replace old one. well, that is what technology is about anyway!

We still have telephones here at home because we are using DSL. The one in the PLDT commercial. Unlimited internet connection for a month with just a thousand peso. The call is also free as long as it's not long distance. I still use it for calling my friends since it's free.

I still have a landline for my dialup connection, but I now broke down and got a cell phone as well. So now I'm shopping for a cheaper landline company since I just use it for internet connection and not for long distance.
I do hope they improve sound quality eventually.

I have two Land line Telephones connected from PSTN..
one mobile cellular telephone...
One Land Line Phone is for Broadband Connection which is inside my room and the other phone in he living room..
I carry my Cell Phone whenever i go out, whether im in HLR or in VLR...
Whatever changes, The purpose of Wired Phone will not evade..
The Clarity from Land line Phone is very very nice, the message signal is excellent and the noise is being extremely null..
Where in wireless, it depends on the network subscriber..
As a Telecommunication engineer i support the advancement in Wireless phones..But they don't replace the wired Phones

i still prefer mobile as its very handy and i can bring it outside nor anywhere. we only use phone at home as it comes with our dsl connection, good thing with phone is its unlimited calls to landline phone while in mobile you will be charge every minute though if its post paid plan then you will still need to pay in excess of the minutes you consumed for calling. in landline, they already offered text messaging and wireless but then i still preferred mobile coz its handy and small, easy to carry.

Given this fast-paced day and age, people are more into the "on the go" type of lifestyle perhaps that's why the cellphone's popularity rose meteorically.
As for me, cellphones are great but telephones offer a more "relaxing" aura. I just can't explain it but talking for hours in the telephone at home can sometimes be our last resort.
It can serve as our serenity in this electronically-laden, hi-tech world.

Hi Pierrella,
Good day!
Mobile phones are more popular nowadays. However, there are still some who owns home phones aside from mobile phones. We still have a home phone even though both me and my husband have mobile phones.
However, we don't think it's practical to keep our home phone since we no longer use it. No one is calling us anymore through that phone and we don't also use it to call. It's cheaper to call our friends and family through their mobile phones using our mobile phone.
Whenever we use our home phone by calling another home phone from a different company/ service provider or a mobile phone we get additional charge on top of the monthly charge. That's the reason we will be requesting for our home phone to just be disconnected by next month.
It's more practical for us to keep our mobile phone rather than our home phone.

Nothing comes nearer than a telephone. It comes along with a dsl internet. Mobiles are good for emergency purpose but some people can't talk and have no use of them except text messages.

of course i would choose cellphone or mobile phones,
we are using postpaind here in the Philippines we have unlimited calls and text to the same network, but we also have a Telephone for overseas call and other local calls for people who has telephones too..
But for me i often use the Telephone even though it looks like a mobile phone cause its wireless cause i have no friends to call to, cause they are all using mobile phones so i just use my mobile to call them from time to time, it was really fun talking to them in unlimited hours we talk a lot of different things and sometimes we are 6 people in just one line we are using the conference function and its also part of the bill. so for me mobile is very handy.

I don't have a telephone or a landline in my home. I prefer cellphones. I don't usually do lots of phone calls. I prefer texting. I no longer need telephone since my cellphone is always on and its always with me.
