Ambition and greed are two sides of the same coin!!

Ambition is not bad at all, all of us has a particular ambition that we want to achieve in our life. But too much of it can lead to greediness which is not good at all.

I think what the statement meant is that ambition could turn in to greed if you obsess to much on it. Everything that is too much turn in to a bad thing. In this case greed is the bad thing when you have too much ambition.

I don't think it's necessarily so. No doubt there are people who are ambition because they want more, but I think of greedy people as those who want it all. Having wants and being ambitions in an effort to have those wants doesn't make you greedy. Wanting it all and preventing others from having or taking from others is greedy. I see those who are able but unwilling to work, but who nevertheless receive benefits from the government or some charitable institution, as being more greedy than the company owner who takes the bulk of the profits but still sees to it that his employees are paid a living wage. Those who want something for nothing are the greedy ones, not those who are ambitions.

i think so.. is both sense of wanting.. but ambition is a good side and greed is the bad side.. because ambition is like dream where you do things that will make you reach what you want without making bad things to others , unlike greed where you will do everything even bad things to others just to have what you want and take it all without sharing it with others..

yup thats correct :D ambition is the natural desire for mastering circumstances or for earning ones goal in life. it is an aim and an achievement greed will never improve oens self esteem and it will just bring negative effects on people around.It is the shord sighted hunger for selfish gains.
