"It is at least 3" thick by either 3 inch round or 3"*3" square."
What does "3 inch round " mean? about 3 inch long or a round area with a diameter of 3 inch.
And what does "square " herein mean? square feet or square meters?

Hi,
3 inch round means -a circle with 3 inch circumference
3"*3" square means - a square with area =(3 inch)^2= 9(inch)^2
- 1 inch=2.54cm
so, (3 X 2.54)^2 cm^2 = 58.0644 cm^2
so unit in your question itself.
