I had not seen my grandson in 48 days because my son got mad at me & stayed away & kept ryan away which i thought was extremely tacky to say the least. Anyway good news!! my son came & brought him yesterday. I was soooooooo glad to see them both. my grandson seems glad to see me even tho my son didn't. I just wanted all of u to know that have been so kind to me about this bad situation. I know all my good friends on here will be glad for me. Am i right?? thanks to u all for your kindness.love & hugs.jo

I have a step granddaughter that turned 3 yesterday. My step son has full custody of her. He has not heard from her maternal grandmother since she was born!!! Also the mother has not even tried to contact him or her!!! I just find it sad and almost unbelievable, although were happy the mother is not trying, (we are afraid that she will try to kidnap her!) I am amazed that he has heard nothing from her mother. He did last year make a special trip to Tennessee to see her (we have other family in the state that he seen to but she lives across the state from them) but for all of his contact to see her she was conviently not home when he got there!!! She has the oldest girl and think maybe she didn't want him to see her but we don't understand the why!!

Hey lou ann, families can sure get in a mess. It's very sad when they do. I have grieved over both my sons & the way they have acted. I'd fix it if i knew what to do.I was always so close to both of them till the last couple of years.

I am very happy for you that you got to see him. I dont think that children should ever be kept from family. Thats very unfair and pretty childish/selfish. I hope he doesnt make a habit of it.

Ah I'm glad you finally got to see your favorite grandson again. I'm sure that he misses you as much. I also hope you can settle things with your son sooner and not let it dwindle into oblivion. Anyway this might just be a good start. Your son isn't at all that bad, he has made a move to show that somehow cares even if he doesn't show it. I'm happy for you antiquelady! Cheers!

I am so glad it worked out for you. It is really hard when these kind of things happen. I had a similar incident when i fell out with my sister she took it out on me by not letting me see my niece it is heartbreaking. I pointed out the error of her ways and she agreed that her behaviour was unreasonable. Spoil him lol xxx

I'm so glad that your son came over and brought your grandson.
I know that grown kids can be so annoying (tho I never was....) but when they "punish" us by keeping us away from their children, that's not just punishing us, but also punishing their child
cruel, so very cruel

its a shame when grown men act like petty children
heck, that's in some ways like girls act instead of men
but at least you aren't the only one with little boys acting like little girls - my roomie's middle brother has only seen her folks like once in the last two years, and then only because he HAD to have them sign something

He should be ashamed of himself to. Men never really grow up in alot of ways. I don't understand either one of my sons & the way they are acting.i love them very much but can see their faults as well as my own.

I am absolutely THRILLED for you!!! Nothing is so painful as not getting to see your grand children. I read your discussion and I got happy goose bumps from the wonderful news.
Your son needs to realize that there is a LOT of stuff that his son can learn from his grandmother. And sometimes you need to put your big boy pants on and put aside your differences and do things that don't always make you happy or glad. At least your son wore them today!
You are such a special lady and I am thrilled beyond expression that you got to see your grandson.

Thanks for your sweet response. I was soooo glad to see that little boy. I think he was glad to see me to. He is such a sweet & thoughtful child. I just want to be able to make memories w/ryan like i have of my grandparents. I loved them all so much & still miss them to this day. I have a grandaughter to but never get to see her or my oldest son. I have no idea why. Thanks for your kindness. Happy monday to u.

It's a shame u will probably never know the real story about your grandmother.
To me that is sad.
U were lucky to find the stief animals, they are quite collectible & know u weren't being a pig by keeping them. U must have a good eye. That means alot in coleecting. Sorry your booth was in a store w/a lady like that. That's awful. I rented out booths to but if i wanted something a dealer had i bought it from them. I always said i was my best customer, lol.
U are very smart to be taking classes, hopeu do well w/your finals. I always enjoy hearing from u. Seems we have alot in common especially when it comes to junking. lol. Have a great Tuesday.

Hi Jo, I am so happy for you! That is wonderful and I am glad you let us all know that you got to see him.
I remember when my grandson was 3 I had him 24x7 and one day his aunt was watching him while I was shopping and his mother came and got him! WOW! She just took him and I came home and all his toys and stuff was just laying around and I had this 'special food' that I had gotten just for him! I really felt I could relate to parents that lost a child! She wasn't mad at me or anything, she had just decided that she should take him back!!!! But I had had him for several weeks and it was heart breaking. He was very happy when he came back and even now he gives me hugs and kisses as soon as he sees me and he is 14!
So I KNOW how happy you are to have your grandson back.

The banquet was wonderful. Very nice dinner. They had a junior high youth group in that did a puppet program. It was a nice time. 2 of my granddaughters came over on Sunday and we made homemade bread and 2 apple pies. They had a lot of fun doing that. Hape you have a great day too!

I'm so happy to hear that you finally got to see Ryan. What a blessed day, even though your son is still being a butthead. Just means your son is slowly coming around, so hopefully it won't be long before you two are talking to each other again. Hopefully, this will be one of many times you get to see Ryan. Again, I'm very happy for you and Ryan.

Hi, ANTIQUELADY... Ahhh... I am so glad that you saw your grandson. And you son too. I know that your grandson was very happy to see you. Why is your son so mad at you?? He should not be so mean to you. Surely, he can't continue to hold this grudge on you. I really do hope that he will talk to you about why he is angry. Take care.

Well, I don't know what happened before, but I can certainly imagine it would be incredibly hard to be kept apart from your grandchildren, so I am pleased to read you got to see him again. I am 40 and have 4 teenage children and can't wait to become a grandma in the next few years!
