Hello there, Well, i know it's too early. but aren't you guys talking this guy, so, he's the new President, let him do his job. although i was kinda shock about a Barangay official appointing him but you know what am looking at is action and not presentation. I don't know about you, we expect too much from some one i believe who is not that qualified, no offense though but i still stand on my views. for a guy who couldn't debate no more, he needs to prove it now in the office. Have a great day

Well, I haven’t get started yet. But you bet, noy2 is my type for presidency. I see no wrong motives in him and he is the one likely chosen by a lot too.

He's the type of President you'd want? He can't even honor the lawful appointment of the officials. As long as the incumbent President has not ended his/her term, he/she has the right to appoint. Him going for a baranggay official instead of what's rightful just shows that he's got the Pride of someone who could be a dictator soon.

@laydee.. I'm not sure about the appointment being lawful. I think the constitution clearly states that certain period before the elections, the incumbent / outgoing president cannot appoint any official. I know that the SC said otherwise, but still, I don't think the motive for the go signal from the justices is as clean and unbiased as they say it is. I do hope that we still give Noynoy a chance, he isn't even technically the president yet. BTW, I did not vote for him, cause there are more qualified candidates, but that is democracy.

firstly, i have to say that this statement is not precise, "a Barangay official appointing him". the president or any other candidates who won in the last elections are not appointed officials, they are elected officials. and i say it again, like i have said in your other post, they are not forced to take their oaths of office before the president or the chief justice or anyone, as it is not stated in the law. i guess and that is my opinion. and you are right, we do not have to debate once more. all we have to wait and hope that noy will do good as the leader of this country. i am not tired of talking and hearing about noy. i am tired of politics.

hello neildc, Well, that's not happening anymore. I KNEW his gonna change his mind again, not that am surprised though. I am also tired of talking about Politics too, sometimes it's so ugly that you don't see the better side of it anymore and more politicians are taking advantage of what has always been a bad situation

Well I think being a fairly new person of the country and winning recently I guess it is but natural that poeple start talking about him. If I am to be asked if I want to talk about this guy, I would say I am also tired reading, hearing and seeing all sorts of stories behind this guy. I think it is just right to give him the privacy he deserves although, being a public figure now I doubt if he still has time to do so. As for your stand I guess there is nothing wrong standing on your ground. I deeply respect that space of your belief but I guess it is time now to do our part as citizens of this country. We may criticize but still work to make this country better despite the situation. Criticisms are good only to the extent that they remain productive to the person being criticized, but if it becomes destructive then better be a productive person than the latter.

hello rsa, well,it's easy said than done although i have said that myself, with all that's happening i still have slight doubt in cooperating with this president elect. he should talk to the public now that he has won, what the heck is he hiding for I hope he gets appointed and am tired hearing it all unless he speaks

That is usually common for something 'new' in this country - people will talk about it. I'm tired of hearing about it though, I just can't wait till he starts his Presidency. However, there's just seem to be some unnecessary pride in all of these things. He has shown that he feels he's above the law - because of the qualms of wanting to be appointed by a baranggay official instead, it just shows that his Pride will be his downfall. Unless proven guilty or inappropriate, it is the job or obligation of the incumbent President to appoint Chief Justice. Obligation because the Judicial System's responsibility should be stopped or paused because the incoming President would not honor the appointment of the incumbent. It's absurd really. Just shows that his power is already in his head!

Article VII Section 15 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution provides that the President cannot make an appointment, except on temporary appointment in the Executive Department, two months or 60 days prior to the next succeeding elections until the President's term expires. Doesn't that explain her actions? Further, should the Philippine Judicial System just pause and wait till the next President? Therefore, pending the cases handled by them? It is a lawful appointment and people are just blinded by the opposition. You don't need to be in law school to understand those lines in the constitution.

It's a temporary appointment but doesn't mean it's unconstitutional.

Hello Laydee, He should explain his side, people will get a very wrong impression of him. but i must admit that gloria should have never made appointments two months before the proclamation of the new president, clearly she herself is not following the constitution. if that is what noynoy wants then so be it

The election fever has not yet subside so give it a few more months. Noynoy was victorious, let him have this moment to enjoy. Once the reality sets in, it's going to be a more tough fight for him. Remember that Gloria still controls majority of those who are in congress. Noynoy has promised to erase corruption, i think it's going to be very hard because not only does Noynoy has to contend with Gloria but Imelda as well. We are not deaf and blind to the alleged corruption that hounded Gloria's administration likewise with the illgotten wealth of the Marcoses. Those two alone are already considered walls that Noynoy is up destroy and then there's the deep rooted corruption in the bureaucracy. We may not agree to his credentials to be our ideal president but i guess every one wants something in common and that's to eradicate corruption.

True, I am kind of getting tired hearing about Noynoy Aquino. But it will be much better if he talks about his plans for the government as well as his actions. I don't want to know what's up with Kris, his girl friend nor his being pessimistic about Binay.

I am not tired when this guy is the topic, I don't hate him though, I hate people in circles of him. And afraid also if he can prove himself as a president, well I really hope so that he will do his best to solve the country's on going problems. Anyway, I do not watch news reports now a days that is why I am not tired of him. For me the election was through and I have to move on with my life. i hope he will do his job and I hope he really have a so called word of honor that he will make suffer those that became the source of Philippine poverty.

hello grecy, I agree with you there. I don't watch much politics, most specially ABS CBN because i have other things to do than listen to some fantasy made stories that they are showing, if it's real then half of it is. People are stupid enough to see this and that's why there's no progress.

Let's give him a chance, maybe he would surprise all of us. Or maybe, he would get the best consultants for help in running this country. I sure hope that he does good. We have been through a really depressing 9 years, and people are really tired of being disappointed. Good luck to the next administration. And most specially, good luck to our country's future.

but why not give him a chance? I mean, I don't think we really can do anything about it now cause HE Is the president elect. Maybe in time, people would get weary and would impeach him, but for now, since his administration hasn't even started yet, let's give him the benefit of the doubt, and maybe, just maybe, he can do something good for our country.

Hello Ingking, I don't think i can expect something worth while from him. he said it himself that debates are waste of time and just costing the campaign. and yet other candidates who don't spend much actually attend debates, so something is really wrong there. godbless i believe is the best thing for the country

Hi Letran! I don' like him either. However, the people chose him to be president then I decided to respect the voice of the majority and give him a chance to be fair. And I bet it's too early to judge but we will see and hope that he would do his job properly. Everything still remains to be proved and I put it that way.

Hello shello, Yeah, but it's too late if we see the mistakes of many around us. it's hard to say that things will get better since majority of what ever in the L party had won, political people switching sides, there's no principle any more. but in my mind that the voice of the majority is somewhat deceived

Hello Hexeduser, Well, with regards to the Talent show, it's her job there to judge, they can't complain about it. besides, she was for her word, it's just she was stopped by her brother Noynoy. I am for sure that we are actually seeing her head getting bigger.

well, it's normal to have those especially in elections, what's good is that we can monitor what will be the plans from Noynoy to our Government. what's bad is that, i pity Noynoy for not being prepared for this scenario, like "pinagpiestahan talaga siya ng Media" hehehe (sorry)

hello uchi, i guess if media isn't going to report it, it's going to be another boring day at ABS CBN, which they wouldn't want to do because they want to see and spice it up the news. well, too bad he really need to explain a lot of things now, if he gets appointed then that's good, but media surely wants to put tension in it

You know the fast results made life easier, but they also made everything boring. At the first day, I was itching for them to announce his place in the government officially. Don't get me wrong I did not vote for the guy, but the topic has become repetitive that flossing my teeth is actually much more fun than talking about it (like what I'm doing now?)

Hello cueva, Hahahaha you got a point there, they can usually report a lot if it was for manual count but since it's automated now, they have nothing else to report and they spice it up when ever the news seems boring a bit.. playing my cat is more fan than watching the boring news

Noynoy is the hottest topic now. We have a future president that not as smart as the present president but if he could make use of his power to stop graft and corruption, that is the time that we called him as qualified. For now, we must accept the fact that he is loved by majority of the people.
• Philippines
18 May 10
hello kenneth, I agree and not to mention unpredictable because you never saw a president taking oath from a barangay official now this is history, only our next generation can judge it. only the majority of the people loved him but in congress, well, he will too battle with the majority of the LAKAS not to mention COngresswoman Gloria Arroyo.

I am a bit tired of it. We all know he is already the incoming President. There are more important matters than talking about his presidency. One should already dwell on other matters like jobs creation and getting other provinces involved in the development of our country.

hello kielogs, i agree, he should at least be telling us preview of his platforms which he failed to do so because of controversies like the Chief of Justice, although not mandatory, it's very much unusual. i hope this commotion will be over soon.
