I am going to be doing my exam in a few days from now. And i really need some help. I want to know how to write short stories. Stories that are somewhere near 350 words. I want it to be very interesting and always grabbing the readers attention. Does anyone knows how to. Can anyone teach me? I want the steps. This is a very important exam. I really appreciate the help. Thanks a lot.

Short stories are not easy to write. But also it is not too hard .First u have to deiced what is the main them of your story . Then plane out your paragraph(roughly) and short story fiction. Then read it carefully and apply the principle parts and try to make it shortly descriptive. And remove the unwanted topic which is not realeated.
You can also follow these few steps
1. Select an idea and start with your basic concept.
2. Select your character and their activity .
3. Organize your thought.
4. Let start write the story yourself.
5. Revised and edit your story.
6. You can alwayes bring ideas form other like frnd.
This is the wat how u can write the short stories

Hi Renhard
I'll suggest u some tips..
Calm your mind
Write a Catchy First Paragraph
Introduce the Characters
Choose a Point of View ie perspective of narration first/second/third person
Write some dialogues between your characters
Select a location,time...
Set up the story line
Create Conflict and Tension
Create the turning point
Solve the conflict-or leave it to the reader(ie. make him think what will happen)
Hope this helps..
Good luck for ur exams..
Happy myLotting

I really like what you have said. Big help but i really don't know how to create a catchy first paragraph. I want to know though. I have tried but it usually in the end turns out to be very boring. In the short time period i have no time to start over. I don't even know how to stay on a narrow topic. I always start on the topic then it gets wider and i just don't know why?

In your finals, do you have to right you short stories impromptu? If that is the case it will be very difficult. But you still have time to prepare, so if I where you , I'll try to right the story first without no limit in words, then afterwards, try to cut-out unnecessary flows and words in the story. Be direct on your story. Emphasize only those part of your story that are essentials.

I know that. i am talking like the structure of a short story. And i have no clue what the short story will be based on. Knowing me even if i write the story from now it will still not be good enough because i just don't know how to write then. Every time i try it seems like it will turn out to be a LONG and BORING novel. I can never keep the story short

Characters , plot , simplicity and setting are all important factors for a short story . Just write the story you come up with , Short or not find what you like about it then incorporate it in a short story format and also go and get feedback from others by briefing your story

In this short time what u can do is that,
before going to exam read some children books, there u must find some good short story. there u can plane your topic and character and their movement. then in exam in respect your question paper think a good title and start your story. make the title story realeated or character realeated. The best thing is to write the story between two character and a sub object or central object. this sub or central object will be the main point of your story .Then create some conversation between two character about this object and make some tention and its effect on them and finally
make a solution. the story is over .
best of luck
