I've read somewhere that facebook will be phaseout? How true is this? What will be the replacement? How do you feel about this if this is true?

I've read somewhere that facebook will be phased out or gone because of many privacy concerns of account holders. But I think it will be replaced with a new social network by the owners. I'm not actually sure if it is true.

ohh interesting.Yea facebook has a lot of privacy concerns so it would seem they could do that but I am not sure because facebook has been encouraging people actually use more of their privacy control features. One day I got an email and another day they made sure I knew how to use it.

If that's true, then Friendster and other social networking sites will be so happy! But I think, that's only a rumor. They just want to scare people who love Facebook. Only sites that are not doing good and are outdated are the ones being phased out, and Facebook is really doing good. It will not be phased. The privacy concern is not that big problem, and the owners can come up a solution for that without phasing out a site or a name that is doing good.
